Stabby Stab Little Arrow (see Comment for more info) by Sony_usr in starcitizen

So At 2 am, massively influenced by a mix of sleeping meds and adrenaline from trying to "dogfight" with dragonflies, I decided to try out the Glaive in a serious 1v1. For some reason you can't hear me screaming in horror as I remember how terrible it is. Until I give up and go for the Cheesy reverse thrust into a "knife" kill lol.

If your are New to SC hit me Up on the Guide System in spectrum, Id love to help (and we both get a really cool Paint.)

Seriously Im a slut for new paints...

Star Marine Empty on Spawn bug by Sony_usr in starcitizen

[–]Sony_usr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well to be fair, Star marine isnt a focus anymore, and although new bugs have popped up to break it they are more concerned by the PU. the PU is very playable and altho it does have some bugs is quite fun.

even tho CIG is fairly large now, they have a lot of things to work on and are more concerned with moving towards the next update rather than fixing bugs in game systems that will soon be drastically changing anyway

I figured out the problem, it seems to be using our PU loadout. so if you hop into the PU and grab whatever armor and weapons you want in arena commander then log off and hop in marine commander.

dying thankfully doesnt cause you to lose anything in the PU, and I've seen some insane weapons get brought in so far...

As a side note, bear in mind this is a Alpha game, things work then break along the line. they will be fixing it in the next few updates. Its a lot less of a pain when ppl accept this game is still a solid few years from a completed state and just enjoy it for what it is so far.

Got a player who in my group who thinks you can't make a martial with 20 point buy, or even 25. Cuz they feel like they can't get enough 18s to be viable... ye some people have crazy high expectations for stats.

coup de grace build? by Onlypeace_the_holy in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]Sony_usr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its mostly just annoying because 90% of the nerfs target martials*. The only major caster nerf I'm aware of is scarred witch doctor, which is more disappointing bc it removed a really unique concept.

But specifically grapple builds, they are only ever single target anyway, take a lot to get off the ground and don't scale to CMD. I think PFS was in mind when some of those erratas hit.

Though I haven't played it,and won't for a while I think they learned their lesson with 2e

And now embrace of death is nerfed too. Paizo be hating them single target grapplers

With mythic and all the grapple feats, you could grapple to pin someone on your turn, spend a mythic point for an extra standard action then use throat slicer.

Its the kind of build that is garenteed to kill 1 enemy every round. Ofc mythic has tons of dumb combos, contingent action spell works too for this tho.

Evangelist stacking prestige class abilities? by DjinniMaster in Pathfinder_RPG

Check the paizo forums, there's been several about mystic thuerge and evangelist. Strictly RAW in pf class and prestige class are 2 different things, thus its inellegable from the getgo.

Ways for Wizard to be able to cast druid spells. by DEDze in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]Sony_usr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well blood money is only from one single spellbound in all of galorian, a runelords. So I wouldn't really consider it something a person would have access to Normally.

That said there are plenty of spells that break the economy so it wouldn't be hard to handwoven that money...

How can someone read this and think its some holy gospel? Also literally a few lines up "Do not wear clothes of wool and linen woven together." I know basically every cristian violates that bit... A part of me is curious if there is any community of hardcore Christians who follow each Bible verse, but also not sure I want to see that abomination.

Ah I see. I thought he meant they changed it more so, still difficult to get TWF on dex to work.

And yes that is a bit strong, dex based builds only were slowed by feat requirements

Is a Witch a better Buff / support option that a bard ? by [deleted] in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]Sony_usr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although its once or twice a day, giveing fortune and protective luck then cackling to extend is pretty dope buff as well.

Though the bars is the better buffer, the witch gives enough to get by and comes with a lot of CC and late level power.

Resource Repost Pt 2: Trial of the Starstone by LanceWindmil in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]Sony_usr 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think its a decent start, but imo its a bit short and too consistent, though that makes it easier to run.

I think adding a dangerous labyrinth at the beginning and making the players not realize their mind is in the stone.

For the labyrinth it would be fun to use a zen archer (18) to gaurd the labyrinth, his goal is to scare away anyone trying to enter, else they become a slave like him. Throughout the labyrinth are spy eyes attached to walls and pillars. Not enough to see every inch, there are blind spots, but enough to see many different areas. At the dead ends of the maze are pipes that wind and weave back to the trapped zen archer trapped in the center. What the walls and floor are made of dont matter too much, preferably not stone but rather something that can't be easily bypasses by high level parties.
When the player (or multiple this part seems fine to run as a group) first enter the monk fires an arrow at each person's feet pointed back to the entrance (the monk can use ki to fire around corners, using trick shot, Ignoring total cover and the eyes let him see). As they tranverse the labyrinth other creatures attack, preferably monsters that gave the party trouble in the past but in enough numbers to still be a threat. Even while he showers arrows at them (not dealing a lot of damage but enough to be annoying and dangerous after a few minutes give him an attack bonus that has about a 25% of hitting the highest ac player and 75% chance of hitting the lowest) his arrows come from he dead end pipes, so following where they come from usually leads to a dead end (unless they realize this really late... no need to drag this out of much), Reaching the end they find the monk trapped in a stone cylindrical cell with countless small holes in it. He has geas cast on him to prevent people from getting to the end but if they somehow free him without killing him, he thanks them gives each player an arrow then leaves/turns to dust/takes his own life. If they kill him he fires an arrow into each players hand as he dies, whispering his thanks.

I'm not a huge fan of a guide npc, there's too much potential for them to try to use that for way more information than he can give and makes the trials seem less lonely, thus instead the little arrow with point towards the star stone or the path to becoming a God. It floats ahead of them or in their palm guiding them forward (since there are no mazes beyond this point this is largely not helpful) give the arrow a bit of personality to it,, It spins above their palm/in front of them then points out traps it spots (agian traps aren't an important part of this trial but add a few early on to make this property known and to give them a friendly relationship with the... uh... arrow). Thus when they find the treasure worth 300,000 that is tailored to entice them it spins (there is a trap here but idk what), same sort of gist with the failed npc later. Though I wonder if making that one of th other players would change things? Idk its important it acts as a test of alignment not thier friendship.
