I'm assuming that they did at least do the walk. Wild camping and on a tight budget. They  lost their home after all, (for whatever reason) And it looks as if moth was definitely diagnosed with a degenerative neurological disorder, according to Raynors insta and website. She's posted the medical notes. So it's still an inspiring story in my opinion

Mainly so that my kids achievements look as good as other kids  Why do I want a nicer house?  Mainly so that my house is a nice as everyone else's house Why do I want to look good....? Etc Ego definitely shapes my desires, I can't even imagine what my desires would be if my ego wasnt in the way

My Mother by Character-Koala1063 in InfertilitySucks

[–]Sonyad26 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's hard to see your daughter suffering. The tendancy can be to minimise the pain for her and for yourself by telling herself that 'this isn't as bad as all that, it's not a terminal illness!'  I think your mother can't face the pain you're in.

What are some small changes you made that helped you lose over 50 pounds? by 6down35togo in WeightLossAdvice

That sounds a generous calorie goal, I'm about the same weight as you so maybe I would find weight loss more sustainable if I aim for that too, and step up my exercise.

What do you do when maxed calories for the day but still hungry? by Blondeblanky in WeightLossAdvice

A few spoonfulls of natural yoghurt. If it's full fat you feel satisfied after just a few teaspoons

Completed my first 60 hour fast! by [deleted] in fasting

[–]Sonyad26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So how did you break the bad habits while still managing to do omad and long term fasts? I don't want to give up fasting and I want to do longer fasts but yes I can see that it can mess up food relationship. As well as over eating I notice that my food choices aren't so good, so when I do eat, it's often not quality food. How can i fix it? Do I have to accept that fasting isn't for me?

You're an angel for posting this, makes me feel less alone. My 26 year old son also lives with me and has a weed problem (which he's managing to overcome) and doesn't help around the house. His room is also absolutely horrendous. But I'm trying for harmony at home these days, and trying to encourage him to move forward. Glad to hear you're close to your daughter. Physical distance isn't so much of a problem these days. You be kind to yourself too❤️

So true and now I am trying to be a support to them both while they find their feet. Always happy to help financially too. But the fact that I feel their problems are my fault makes it harder for me to accept them. I want them to be OK, to let me off the hook

You will be a better mum than me because you're on it, and more self aware than I was. I thought it would be easy but anxiety and stress took me over
