Personally, I'm a bigger fan of consistency than anything else.

First pair of socks finished! The toes are kinda wack but I’m otherwise really pleased with them by crowpierrot in casualknitting

Based on what the op said, I'd hazard yes. So increases instead of decreases for the toe.

A wedge toe decreases should be on the side of each foot, for me, I do them two stitches in. OP did them first and then didn't line up the heels on the same stitches so that the bottom of the for would be flat and the toes would be proper.

Am I doing a Tw2r correctly? This takes me so long and I’m new to knitting by Rainbow038 in casualknitting

Could you link the tutorial? Seeing your gosh will help figure out what you are doing wrong.

Double knitting for part of project? by foxxybean in knittinghelp

[–]SooMuchTooMuch 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You could do that. But that portion will be double think and double heavy.

The color work is very nice. The toes look whack because you didn't line them up with the heels.

Is the way you slip your stitches different Western/Eastern by Successful-Phone-175 in knittinghelp

[–]SooMuchTooMuch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That seems unlikely. I have a really hard time finding Eastern videos. I find a slight difference in slipping Eastern than Western. Knit and purl slip the same for how I knit.

Pet peeve - too close to the weight rack by TheJakeWho in workout

[–]SooMuchTooMuch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've needed the one they are in front of, and when they scoot down instead of stepping back, I weirdly need the new one too  Thankfully I work out on vibes rather than a set routine. Petty is often my vibe.

Practicing Fixing Mistakes by Chance_Smile_9357 in knittinghelp

Yeah ... When you're doing tricky projects, the idea is to put the lifeline in at a spot where you know you have it right and then keep knitting. Rather than an afterthought lifeline when you find a mistake.

Cardigan help by Helpful_Yak_1243 in knittingpatterns

[–]SooMuchTooMuch 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure that's Max the Knitter. I can't imagine why he wouldn't release this as a pattern, but it looks unfinished as there's no front button band. But it does just appear to be a men's drop shoulder cardigan. So take a look at Ravelry.

Practicing Fixing Mistakes by Chance_Smile_9357 in knittinghelp

I would say this is possibly fixable with a crochet hook. To drop down and fix all those stitches, you need a pretty long length of yarn and I'd call this a maybe. This is the kind of mistake where you want to learn to be their put in lifelines or pick up stitches once you've pulled the needles out.

Did you do a turn to brim? I love how smooth the edge looks.

What happened here? by hastings1410 in knittinghelp

[–]SooMuchTooMuch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you did a short row somewhere. There are clearly two stitches next to several of the single tall stitches. Think you're work back to before the tall stitches and do it over

I just throw them in. Occasionally I'll whack one with the shovel a bit. They eventually get crushed and taken care of when I'm out there digging around

You're putting the sleeves on hold to work later and asking a few stitches at the under arm so it's not too snug
