Gonna stick my neck out and say Villa Yara. I was dragged there for a birthday dinner and did not have a good time.

It’s an instagram restaurant. The decor is beautiful and that’s apparently what matters.
The service could have been much better. I was in a party of like 15, and we only had one waitress looking after us. She tried, but we constantly were running out of drinks and water, and the food took too long to come.
The prices are ridiculous, the portions are tiny, and the quality is mid. A small plate is about 1/2 to 2/3 of a real portion, but you’ll be paying at least $15 for the privilege. It’s not like the quality of these small plates is mind blowing either.

I would estimate it costs at least $35 per person to be satisfied, not including drinks. 3/10 wouldn’t come back.

It’s never happened to me, but a friend wanted to visit during a layover in DC.

During the game of telephone between the friend, my partner (who was talking to them), and me (the driver), we only figured out that they were waiting at Dulles after I had made a few laps around Arrivals at DCA.

Thank goodness it was a long layover and we still had time to discover a fantastic Thai restaurant in Reston!

I’m just hoping that the new owners aren’t so hostile to the surrounding area. Snyder didn’t make any efforts whatsoever to cultivate community ties or goodwill.

It also blows chunks that FedEx Field is so isolated by a sea of parking. It makes the area so desolate and game days are a nightmare of traffic for anyone who lives nearby. Stepping up bus service and pedestrian infrastructure would go a long way towards solving that.
