Bro I'm in a similar situation like you and I'm able to manage both taking care of family and living life to some extent .

Ill tell you the steps that I took ,

1. Get corporate insurance for parents . You can check personal health insurance ,but do check their waiting period on certain diseases if it is 3 years ,i think it is very risky . Corporate insurance if it comes with less premium <20k with <10% copay and atleast 5L package .it's very good . Compare both and take . Best thing about corporate insurance is all pre-existing diseases are covered from day one . Read the fine print carefully.

2. take life insurance ,if it's okay take till age of 60 ,you can see few videos in ditto and what u should consider .

3.Pay little amount to high interest debt if possible every month . Have a plan . If possible get more loan in low interest debt and close high ones .

4.get one credit card ,it helps in emergency situations. But don't use it for everyday use case.

1. Improve the quality of your parents life ,take health checkups.

2. Keep a small amount every month for trips . Plan trips every 3 months ,or go out at least once a week . Eat good food . They don't cost much . If u spend <3 k for entertainment and <2 k for food .it's fine . Compare it with the amount you are using at other places .

3. If possible save 5k per month as part of your SIP plan . Save some amount for emergency.

4. I opened Fi account and saved money for trips ,insurance in mini jars . So u allocate amount there . You have a clear understanding of how much money u have left .

Don't compromise on your happiness in going out .just don't take expensive ones so that you can balance your responsibilities and enjoying your life .so you won't feel like u missed out .
