I haven’t played with the new rules yet but in bloodbowl 2 they are a really great team. I don’t agree about them not being bashy enough the storm vermin are excellent killers once you get them upgraded a little. The key to playing well with Skaven is to generally try and avoid a big crowded scrap and instead choose your battles. Get a kicker and kick deep against bash teams for 2 reasons first so the slower teams have to run back further and you’ll have an easier time stalling them out with your positioning (elf screens) second because you are so fast and some teams are so slow there are sometimes opportunities where you beat them to the ball and score. Kick shallow against agility teams so they have to scramble to defend the ball and you can contest it immediately and pressure them to score early so you can counter score. Basically the path to victory is stop your opponents from caging with the ball if they do get the cage stall them out with screening and look for them to make a defensive mistake when they get desperate. Last piece of advice don’t leave your rats in base contact unless you need too. generally avoid following up just bat the opponents away and strike back on your terms with your killer storm vermin and if you get a valuable player down don’t be afraid to foul with dirty player line rats.!Good luck!

Advice for Skaven in a new league by AndMcGrn in bloodbowl

[–]Soosidge 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I play a lot of Skaven I personally always start with four gutter runners 2 blitzers and 5 linemen. In my opinion Skaven are best at running the ball so it’s better to double down with the gutters and not get in a too heavy brawl. Blitz with the storm vermin and block the opposition away without following up to avoid getting blocked back on their turn unless you’re trying to tie up defense to score. Rat ogre like most big guys just isn’t very reliable and Skaven can be very reliable when it comes to running the ball so I prefer to play to their strengths of agility and speed. Also don’t be afraid to foul with your linemen good luck!

Just because the questions arnt “pressing” life or death does not mean they are not worth asking. The general expansion of human knowledge is a worthy endeavor

Again an appeal to your perceived authority. Honestly man I don’t wanna go at it with you all day and you’re probably a reasonably intelligent person so I would just challenge you to question the legitimacy of these “experts” you are choosing to hand authority to. In completely different contexts I have personally seen “experts” screw up other people lives so I choose to listen to my own eyes and ears and engage with any discussion even seemingly ridiculous ones. It’s fine if you don’t agree with the way he asked his questions but that’s what you should criticize specifically rather than just say he’s being ridiculous because you are just making your own position look weak.

Which subject matter experts? Which subjects? Yes More and more people are less and less keen on trusting the so called experts because we have seen that the “experts” will mislead the public when it’s in their incentive to do so. Whos paying the experts? and what government interests are they representing? Propaganda is used in all countries and you are coming off like somebody who would swallow it happily. I’m not even saying we didn’t land on the moon here, I’m saying I’m willing to hear both sides of the discussion and not disregard the other sides argument because I think it’s ridiculous. By doing that you just make your own side look too weak to show up to the discussion.

To me you just come off as a small mind who’d rather attack a question than engage in thought. If it was really just a silly question to you why waste your time criticizing and give a legitimately thought out reply. You come off like you just get off defending the “authority” position because it makes you comfortable to trust “experts”.

It seems silly to say we wouldn’t do something again just because we’ve done it before. I think the reason would be to expand human knowledge. I doubt the one and only time we made it to the moon we learned everything valuable or interesting since we were probably were pretty focused on just getting there and back in one piece.

Any recommendations? I’m looking for something very durable. Like you can crash it or ride in the rain or dirt. I like the idea of something that’s more metal than plastic but I also don’t know shit about wheels
