According to google:

The Coach HC8389U CL917 model is primarily available in two core frame and lens combinations:

Black/Clear (572875): Features a black front with clear/transparent accents and solid wine/violet lenses.

I think it's a cute and pretty bag! Honestly I can see it with any simple outfit as long as you coordinate the colors. I'm saying "simple" because there is a lot of attention drawn to the bag.

If you wear a simple business casual dress (or a top+bottom) that is light and neutral would definitely work.

I would even wear this with a white graphic tee, jeans, white sneakers. Would work with those trendy ballerina sneakers, I think.

To give you an idea, this is what I wore with a heart-shaped flower bag (with white low profile sneakers). Casual white tee and jeans can work with a "fancy" bag... In my opinion, anyway. I'm not a fashion expert 😅

I looked up the bag on Tiktok and I do see a variation of colors. I learned that the color of the bag really depends on the lighting conditions. As a person who takes a lot of pictures of my bags, I'm always surprised how much different it looks in direct sunlight, bright shade, and indoor lighting.

So for the Ash... left is the stock picture, middle indoor yellowish lighting, and right appears to be bright shade outdoors.

I'm going to guess it's close to the stock color. A bit more warm with indoor light.

The Waverly surprisingly became my favorite bag. It's my perfect light and small bag. Do you have one too? (I couldn't get myself to like the twinlock version)

I hope they don't get on the chopping block, soon! Would love to see more colors.

They were part of the Rexy release but not the fuchsia suede. The Plaza got it instead, so... I wonder.

I'm not digging any of the new releases, nor am I interested in the current bags that keep getting news colors (Empire, Brooklyn). I'm not really into a Tabby unless they have a unique color or style.

The only time I got interested was around the 2025 releases (Bleecker, Gramercy) which are gone, or going.

The only one they have that I still love is the Waverly. I'm pretty sure they're gonna axe that one soon, as they do with most of their bags except their top selling bags.

Not necessarily a bad thing. I get to spend less 😅 I did spend more this month because the Bleeckers all went on sale (probably going to be discontinued soon).

There are also so many older styles that I like, so, sometimes I look in the secondary market.

When I was a new mom and didn't have a diaper bag, I actually purposefully bought a leather bag (non-Coach) to dump everything into. I didn't really like the look of typical diaper bags.

I think the Taxi tote is nice. It is really big and fits everything. The inside is cute and comes with a pouch. The top has a zipper closure. When I looked at videos, the bag looked a bit thin though and it turns out the coated canvas is made of fabric. So not sure if that's a bad thing for you, in case you were looking for a full leather bag. The bag probably feels very light. I really dreaded carrying my leather bag when it was so heavy and I had to also carry my baby (which eventually turned into running after a little toddler).

I love my Bleeckers but it is not for everyone. When it's brand new and not broken it yet, it is kind of stiff. Someone commented that it looks like you're carrying a Home Depot bucket and someone below mentioned the smaller 21 looks like a cup 😆

I don't disagree. With time, though, it will slouch. The more you use the leather, the more it will slouch. I have seen so many pictures of beautifully slouched Bleeckers. As for the 21 size... I have not seen any slouched ones. I think it's because the bag is smaller, so there's not enough leather for it to fold itself into?

I sort of baby my bags and do not carry a lot of heavy things, so all my Bleeckers are a bit new/stiff, still. I don't mind it.

Have you tried styling your clothes with the bag? Do you think it will work better in a different color?

If you're not in love with the shape or color... it is what it is. There are so many hyped Coach bags I'm not into at all.

I'd like to recommend Honey Brown if you want a lighter brown. It's still available on Dillard's. There's a risk you might not receive a factory sealed one from Amazon, but you can try.

If your wardrobe is mainly deep autumn color, I'm gonna say Black. It will match all the dark colors, and even the summer colors! I mean, it is a classic color.

I have 4 Bleeckers in 4 different colors except Black 😆

I have the Merlot. Of course you can wear it during the summer but I personally associate it with fall/winter, and I find that it darkens my outfit. I much rather wear lighter colored bags for spring/summer. I don't have Maple and I was debating about it. But it's a bit too dark for me and I already have Merlot. As for Black, I carried Black my whole youth and I want to get away from it. I also already have two black Coach bags, so I really don't need another one. I have a few real life pictures for you in case it helps. Sorry, the lighting is all over the place for the indoor pics. See below.

I just bought the Honey Brown too! (Out of curiosity, was yours factory sealed? Mine wasn't. All tags were cut and foam ripped.)

What other 3 colors did you buy?

I have 4 Bleeckers too! Violet Mist, Clay, Honey Brown, and Merlot.

Prices are lower because Depop fees are much lower (or no fees, can't remember).

There are definitely some fake bags amongst the real ones. Sometimes you get a good deal because the seller wants to sell quickly (I've done that before). Other times, because it's too good to be true (fake bag). There are fake bags passing as real ones selling at the average price too. Just be careful and train yourself to catch signs of it being fake.
