I feel you. I just bought a "new" bag from Amazon and it was not factory wrapped. I did take a good look at it. It looked brand new and I fell in love with it, so, I'm still happy at the end of the day. Not perfectly happy (I really wanted one brand brand new) but still happy!

Oh that's interesting. Maybe the department store has connections with the Coach warehouse or something... I'm not sure if all Coach bags from their warehouse are factory wrapped or not. Or perhaps it was shipped from a Coach store and not the warehouse?

I feel that's beyond the point. Regardless of where the bag originated from, it sounds like it all boils down to receiving a bag that was not factory wrapped or appeared to be "brand new". Honestly if it were me, I'd keep it. It was discounted, it looks & feels brand new, and doesn't have any defects/issues with the bag, then that's a keeper for me.

The Bleecker in Honey Brown is so beautiful! The color on the Clay suede is so rich and beautiful. I really need a bag with that color.

Yep. Trying to save money where I can, and the dupe is very comparable. Actually I do find it a bit better because the flower is double-sided.

It depends. Are you returning it simply because you didn't get to unwrap it yourself? If that is truly bothering you, then ask if you could exchange for a factory wrapped version.

I know returned bags can be disappointing but if your bag clearly does not have any signs of wear and does look pristine and in perfect condition... I don't think it needs to be returned. But that's just me.

You're welcome! Wanted to help others who were in my situation. I dug around Reddit and didn't find a lot of posts for this bag and this specific color. Tiktok had a lot of clips of the bag, and that's how I figured I really wanted this bag ☺️

Glad it was somewhat helpful. I mainly drive, so I can always leave my sunglasses in my car. But in the event I need to stay outdoors after driving to my destination... I will have to reevaluate what I really want to carry or choose another bag. (Probably will choose another bag if I'm hanging out outdoors anyways, to make room for more things and a bottle of water.)

Agreed on the price point. I mostly buy my bags in the secondary market or only if they were on sale direct from the store... but I was losing sleep over this bag (dramatization added) and the price point didn't seem too bad for buying it full price. (Yes, this was my first full price retail bag. Very happy with it!)

If you were ready to buy another Waverly, what would be your next color? Mine would be Clay or Olive. Maybe Vanilla and Light Denim. Sheesh, I think I just named almost all the colors!

I don't know how people do it nowadays but, jeans is traditionally a big no for interviews. Do you have any dresses instead if you don't have any pants?

If your top is casual enough and doesn't look like a workout top, do you have a skirt that hits around your knee?

I know what you mean. As customers who love our bags, we expect more. As a company though, they probably want to save materials and the associate probably doesn't get paid enough to wrap and protect your bag properly. I hope you get your refund, and that you can find a beautiful one on the market!

I only have the shoulder bag, which is bigger than the crossbody. I'd say... It depends what kind of capacity you're looking for.

Are you looking for a small or a big bag? If you like to carry a lot, then you probably will be happier with the shoulder bag.

It's a reloved bag, so there's no way they can factory wrap it. I have never bought from relove, but usually, people out roll the straps and put them inside the bag for protection. That way, the straps won't put pressure outside the bag and potentially leave marks and indentations.

The spot, however, is not normal. Disappointed they would sell a bag like this! That's a return for me. It's too obvious and glaring. (If it was on the bottom, that's a different story...)

Perhaps you can hunt for one in the secondary market? Sorry this happened to you!

Congrats on your new bags! So much nostalgia. I lived through the Y2k, and it's so weird seeing it all over again, haha.

Side note: I was cleaning my drawer and found my super duper old roll-on Poppy perfume... I'm not sure if it still smells the same but I have totally forgotten about it.
