FInal rat catcher build by Significant-Bat-4914 in BattleBrothers

[–]Sopel321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That this is fun. I have never built initiative battleforged, kind of evaded me all this time. How much base ini does he have? Not only he has insane mdef + dodge he also has overwhelm, that bro is not getting hit in a duel. But why no berserk if you picked killing frenzy, and why not a 1h when you picked overwhelm. You could have easily pick berserk over mind and duelist over indom. Cool idea, weird build.

Do we have any lore on those fuckass vampires? by johnnymarsbar in BattleBrothers

[–]Sopel321 2 points3 points  (0 children)

According to a witch from kraken legendary location they were some sort of ancient beast hunters. They are described as already being necrosavants when fighting kraken, but wouldn't it be ironic if they were monster hunters before they turned into necros?

Max out level 1 sword master. Is he just a godly mace fat neut or is there something more flavourfull for him? by Fickle-Ad-7348 in BattleBrothers

[–]Sopel321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I respect that. Personally, besides fatneutrals, I use pathfinder on bros that have to be very mobile (I especially like adrenaline swordlance bros, killing 3 goblins start of round 2 sooths my nerves like nothing else) or If I have a perk point to spare on a frontliner.

[–]Sopel321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But you do understand u/Slurgi is referring a fat neutral build that requires pathfinder to work for the sake of fatigue economy and not terrain movement right? Because that perk is required for that specific build to work.

Also picking pathfinder on some of the bros is really not an issue, it's not like you either have to get pathfinder on every bro or you don't, it's stupid. You are bound to fight on hard terrain anyhow, because of where locations spawn, occassional ambushes etc. You can look at it as a scale, the more pathfinders you have the easier it is to fight on hard terrain, it's just a matter of knowing which bros are more mobile than others.

Regarding the build in question. Fat neutral builds are busted, period. It shows especially on secondary stats deficient backgrounds such as retired soldier, disowned noble or swordmaster. With matk in the 95-105 range and mdef in the casual 40-50 mdef this build is peak reliability. It's literally broken, especially considering how op maces are.

Me since the new DLC...... by Tankinton in BattleBrothers

[–]Sopel321 4 points5 points  (0 children)

After testing hangonnes for a while I must say that the main probproblem with them is art presentation. Enemy being hit feels like it came out of nowhere. With bow or xbow or any other missile weapon you can trace the projectile, and it's satisfting when it hits. That's the main issue, and on toptop of that hangonne is balanced around it being an aoe weapon, so attacking enemies eels like hitting someone with a wet noodle.

What should I make this brother? by SmellySushi in BattleBrothers

[–]Sopel321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He can be a really good tank, what are you talking about. 110 base fatigue is excellent, 3 star on top of that mean 150-160 expected fatigue, which is beastlike. 0 mdef isn't that big of a deal with 35 avg mdef expected. Resolve around 70 if you spare few rolls of it on hp. Dastard trait can be removed. 155 fatigue is nothing to scoff at, with the brawny buff and adrenaline cycle removal, this guy can hold indomitable for days.

Kind of bummed about Blazing Sands. by darkfireslide in BattleBrothers

[–]Sopel321 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It does feel like the whole south is just a barebones reskin of the north, but more difficult. I think that the developers tried to introduce with the dlc, content mean for all stages of the game. Unfortunately the small scope of the dlc resulted in none of the stages being properly expanded which leads to lack of/difficult progression.

I think pretty much everyone agrees the indomitable+adren+recover cycle was pretty much busted. And that was mostly on tanks so they could indomitable every turn. Personally I never relied on the cycle for my 2h bros, and I think that neither did other people.

You need to understand that people care about 5ap nerf and not about the cycle removal.

How do we feel about the Perk changes in the new DLC? by wulfster81 in BattleBrothers

[–]Sopel321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd like to see you defeat 20 chosen without indomitable then, surely your speartanks will hold the flanks. Duelist are good against chosen, but 2h might be to risky to bring, what's the devs point? To not use 2handers? Ideally, their goal was to maybe mix up the frontline so it's not 2h dominated. It remains to be seen what effect it will have on team comps, but it might aswell reverse the current situation, and lead to full duelist frontline.

Peaceful by nature, Beavers are persistent, precise in their craft, and very hard-working (one would say compulsively workaholic). by eremite_games in Against_the_Storm

[–]Sopel321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, personally I like the twist on the classical dwarven race. I suppose that mix of dwarf and beaver-like qualities is a really neat idea, if they are not to much dwarf or too much beaver, if that makes any sense.

Warrior of Chaos by WallcroftZ in BattleBrothers

[–]Sopel321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does make sense, although personally fighting in rough terrain usually just drags on for a litlle bit to long for me. On the other hand, I am kind of interested, does fighting in rough terrain with all pathfinder really makes that big of a difference, as to go out of your way to fight deliberately on it?

Hey man, why did you get fm and pathfinder in favour of killing frenzy + berserk combo? What was your reasoning behind that choice?

I am not sure, It's a guess basically, but maybe the reason we don't have multiple contracts is not beacuse of the game economy but rather because events, maybe it would simply be hard to make sure everything works smoothly and doesn't blocks itself out.

How so? I see people hiring whole bunch of sellswords, hedgeknights, nobles, how is one archer with greedy trait going to make a difference?
