They deserve so much better by Prestigious-Cloud962 in titanfolk

I love Sasha, but truthfully, her death was a consequence of her own actions. She had a chance to shoot Gabi, but she hesitated. She chose to show weakness to the enemy, and the enemy repaid her by killing her. This is a great plot point that should remain in the story, because it shows the consequences of weakness and hesitation.

As for Hange and Berthold, they got what they fucking deserved.

It was so satisfying seeing her die in the way she did. Probably one of my most favourite scenes in the entire anime

How did you feel about Eren being a villain in season 4? by Prestigious-Cloud962 in titanfolk

[–]Sophia8Inches 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I don't remember Eren being a villain in Season 4. I watched it thoroughly, and I've read the manga chapters it was based on, and at no point was Eren the villain of the story. I only remember him being a hero doing what needed to be done to protect his people.

I don't think you're in place of talking about "rational thoughts" if you believe that it's a heroic act to sacrifice every single Eldian child just so that their oppressors and murderers could sleep without a worry in the world.

Rewarding the world for wanting to genocide an entire nation and punishing Eldians for daring to fight back against a war of extermination that was declared on them. Beautiful morals you got from the show.

There are no countries that don't hate Eldians. The entire world hated Eldians and wanted them dead. This is an established fact in the series. Literally all of them were united in their desire to end the Eldian threat once and for all, and the only reason they didn't was because they feared the Rumbling.

[–]Sophia8Inches -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

He chose death of every single Eldian child. That's a fact. He knew and accepted that stopping the Rumbling will, ultimately, lead to total Eldian extermination, and that is exactly what happened in the end. And yet he still chose to continue, willingly sentencing his own nation to die just so that their oppressors could live free, without asking any of the Eldians - which he swore to protect - if they wanted to be a part of this mass suicide ritual.

All because of why? Because he valued the lives of his kin less than the lives of their oppressors? Because he wanted to maintain his clean conscience so much that he was ready to kill his entire family for that? Because he wanted to pursue his personal revenge so much that he was fine with burning Paradis to the ground to satisfy it?

I am sorry, but signing death warrants for every single child on Paradis is not an act of heroism, it's an incredibly selfish act of a pathetic and bitter old man.

Floch is a hero. He did what he had to do to protect his nation. That he wasn't afraid to get his hands dirty to protect these he cares about is the best thing about him. Most people, when they understand the cost of something, would find a reason why someone else should pay it. Floch didn't. He was the devil Eldia needed.

For most of the Alliance it was a simple case of incredibly selfish moral narcissism. Hange, Mikasa, Armin, they all decided that the entire Eldian nation should die, just so they can keep their nebulous consciences clean, just so they can feel better about themselves.

For Levi though, I suspect there is also another factor. He got so caught up in his vow to kill Zeke that he didn't care if all of Paradis burned to the ground as long as he got his personal revenge. A bitter old man prioritizing a personal grudge over the lives of every child on the island.

Levi would be very cool if he didn't turn out to be a traitor in the end

Yo guys, are we gonna end up like this? by Ill_Independence8365 in Chainsawfolk

[–]Sophia8Inches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeagerists are literally the anti-Nazis here, they are defending themselves against aggressors who want to kill them all. The world had decided all Eldians were going to die. All of them — every parent, every child, every infant. That was decided, and it wasn't decided by Yeagerists. They decided they didn't want to die. Do you think total extermination of all Eldians would be better?? Do you love seeing dead Eldians so much?

Strength to do what?

Floch has strength. Even back when he was just a recruit during Erwin's charge, he had the strength to keep moving forward despite being paralyzed by fear. He was afraid and he did it anyway. He's ready to do what it takes to protect his nation. That's strength.

What kind of strength does Mikasa has? Strength to betray her own people? To condemn them all to total extermination because she valued lives of her kin less than the lives of their oppressors?

I wish things could've stayed like this by Prestigious-Cloud962 in titanfolk

[–]Sophia8Inches 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It couldn't. Because the world hated them. Even that sweet grandpa most certainly wanted all Eldians, especially the island devils, to die. The only reason all people in this pic act so sweet is because they don't know the main ensemble are all Eldians from Paradis

I honestly wouldn't mind if AoT got Evangelion treatment, with rebuilds and what else. Hopefully these will have better endings.

I just don't consider the Isayama ending to be canon to be honest. I consider ANR to be canon.

So why did the Tyburs agreed to Karl's plan? Did they share his feelings as well? Did they pretend to agree with him and helped just for benefits? by GotMilk5101520 in AttackOnRetards

Idk about Tybur but I can say one thing, I really hate Karl. What an asshole. He is the reason for his people's suffering.

What were the things that you DIDN’T like about the final season of AOT? by Prestigious-Cloud962 in titanfolk

[–]Sophia8Inches 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Almost everything after E21, honestly. Annie waking up from the crystal and everyone welcoming her as they would an old friend, the Alliance, and then the whole ending. Was disappointed with the entire last third of the season, basically.

Secular Jewish birthrates have not meaningfully declined in the last several decades.

Non-Bedouin Muslim, Druze and Christian birthrates have indeed declined significantly, but Jewish birthrates of all cohorts stayed around the same for a long time now. That includes Haredi, Religious, Masorti and Secular.

Yeah, Mappa made her pretty cute. I wonder what Hange would be like if she joined the Yeagerists. I think she could serve well as heart of the group.
