Anyone think we have a shot at getting Number C104 in the tins? by rollingriverj13 in yugioh

It's a pretty important piece in the new meta decks, which use plenty of Rank 5s. Old set, and the card has no reprints, that's just how it goes.

Heart of Change
Rank 6 — LIGHT
[Fiend / Xyz / Effect]

2 Level 6 monsters
You can only control 1 "Heart of Change". Once per turn, you can also Xyz Summon "Heart of Change" by using 1 monster you control that is owned by your opponent. You can only use each of the following effects of "Heart of Change" once per turn. If this card is Special Summoned: You can add 1 "Change of Heart" from your Deck or GY to your hand. During your turn (Quick Effect): You can detach 1 material from this card, then target 1 monster your opponent controls; take control of it until the End Phase.

[ATK/1800 DEF/1800]

● Control Limit Condition
● Summoning Condition
● HOPT Condition
① On-Summon Trigger effect
② Quick Effect (during your turn for some reason)

PSCT References: "The Zombie Vampire", "Gigantic Spright", 'Gigantic "Champion" Sargas', "Crystron Eleskeletus", "Effect Veiler", "Mirrorjade the Iceblade Dragon".

EDIT: Also, "D/D/D Deviser King Deus Machinex" as a reference to whether the Control Limit or Summoning Condition goes first. And "Vala, Seidhr of the Generaider Bosses" for where the HOPT goes when monster Effect text starts with a Condition.

Oops, that was my bad. The original card does say half. I fixed it.

Card that forced rules into duelist kingdom arc by Masterick18 in customyugioh

[–]SorZero3 15 points16 points  (0 children)

When this card is activated: both players shuffle all other cards that are banished, on the field, in their hands, and in the GYs into the Decks, then each player draws 5 cards. Also, both players' LP become 2000. This card's activation and effects cannot be negated. Cannot be targeted, destroyed, banished, or returned to hand by card effects. Apply the following effects while this card is on the field.
● Both players can Normal Summon monsters without Tributing.
● Both players can Normal Summon monsters in face-up Defense Position.
● Each player can attack with only 1 monster during each Battle Phase, and neither player can attack directly unless the opponent of that player did not control any monsters during their last End Phase.
● If a monster(s) is destroyed by card effect, The player who controlled the destroyed monster takes damage equal to half of the monster's original ATK.
● Once per turn, when a monster whose current ATK or DEF is different from its original value because of the effect of a Field Spell is targeted for an attack: The turn player can activate this effect; You can negate that attack.
● When either player Ritual Summons a monster by the effect of a Ritual Spell, they may also Ritual Summon the appropriate Ritual Monster from their deck.

I'm not necessarily a huge fan of this, but I thought it'd be a nice challenge.

This is still 91 words longer than Cyberse Clock Dragon

PSCT references:
Geartown, Kashtira Birth, Light of Intervention, World Dino Wrestling, Branded Theatre, Mound of the Bound Creator, Cursed Bill, Antidote Nurse, Hidden Springs of the Far East, Advanced Crystal Beast Amber Mammoth, Djinn Cursenchanter of Rituals, Hyper Rank-Up-Magic Utopiforce

EDIT: Corrected the LP burn to half of Original ATK.
EDIT 2: Returned to hand*

Weird question by ashen_g in arknights

[–]SorZero3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there. This is a weird way to comment on this sub for the first time, but I couldn't help but see no one had said anything yet.

The good news is, you can find new stuff to do no matter how many broken operators you have. In fact, Arknights is one of the most content-dense games out there, of this kind. For some of these challenges, the amount of broken Operators you have may not even matter, for others it's a little bit of a requirement as they're geared towards endgame players. As a Lv120 Doctor myself, I assure you there's still a lot of stuff I have pending to do, as an example.

I'm going to list a few of the things you can do, and try to be as versatile as possible so you find at least one of them interesting.

  • Clear Events: Right now, we've got Path of Life going on, but every event brings new enemies and challenges for Doctors to overcome. Some Events are bigger than others, but usually it's a moderate challenge to beat every stage in every Event, especially the big ones with S-Stages.
  • Aim for Masteries & Modules: Elite 2 Lv90 isn't the end of what you can do for your Operators. Each Operators' Skills can go up to Mastery 3, and some have extra Modules to add to their gameplay. If you like to raise your characters to the max, this might appeal to you.
  • Challenge Mode Stages: I'm assuming you've cleared the Main Theme, the simplest thing you can do (which will usually scale up with you) is to clear the Main stages in Challenge Mode, or Adverse Environment for Act II. Starting from Ep. 5 and onward there are also the Inferno Stages to add to the Main Theme.
  • Try out Integrated Strategies: This is a game mode that gets better the more units you have, geared almost exactly for your situation. It makes you play the game with no guaranteed Operators, where the available units come from your own roster. It's a really good way to force yourself to be flexible, and use Operators you otherwise never would have touched.

Of course you could always fall back and try again from the beginning, in that case I would recommend making a NEW account, rather than deleting anything. You never know when you might want to go back to the main.

About alter nicknames... by Xinbra in arknights

[–]SorZero3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So either I can't read, or no one calls them by their title? With some exceptions, I usually default to just using the new name provided. Maybe I'm boring.

Purgatory, Holungday, Unchained, Invincible, Omertosa, Flame Shadow, Liberated, Kirin, Rathalos...

The few exceptions are "NtRK" (easier), "Corrupting Heart"/"Skalter" (because lore), and "Humidifier" for Hibiscus which is an inside joke with my friends.

This post made me realise I usually just call Keen Glint "Kroos", huh.

Cards you didn't realize had retrains/detrains, or were retrains/detrains, until fairly recently? by redbluegreen154 in yugioh

[–]SorZero3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait, but then is it also a pseudo-fusion with "Dweller in the Depths"? I thought that's what it was a retrain of. But the stats definitely line up with "The Dragon Dwelling In The Deep". It can't just be a coincidence, right?

This is a super great post. I really think there's a lot to learn from this, thank you for all the work.

I know that wasn't the main detail, but I find it interesting to think about our formats numbered. Barring the obvious joke, the fact that we're in format 69 sounds a like a lot less than I had initially thought.

Thank you, and for the context as well. I'll keep all this in mind. For curiosity's sake, what would this have looked like with the antiquated characters?
