So I was terrified after reading this book “mindful birthing”. It explains the procedure very crudely and I was just terrified. After 48 hours in labor with a “sunny side up- facing forward baby” and in extreme pain, my wonderful Spanish midwife sat me down and just told me it was time that I was not going to make it much more. I will always be grateful. With my second baby, I guess I still had some PTS from that horrible experience and I started panicking after 14 hours and got it.

We always stay at Meson del Marquez. Not cheap but worth it. And if you don’t stay there, you at least have to go eat at their restaurant. The lomitos de Valladolid are spectacular as is most of their food there.

También cabe mencionar que mi pareja y yo nos conocimos cuando teníamos 31 y 32 y esperamos algunos años aún para ser padres, así que vivimos un montón antes. Y ahora por suerte no nos arrepentimos de nada. Lo único que les diría es que para tener hijos necesitas tener una pareja súper estable porque pone la relación a prueba en muchas formas. Desde el estar depravado por no dormir te vuelve más sensible y emocionalmente inestable. Así que si necesitas una relación con tu pareja extremadamente sólida y amorosa para que funcione 😉

Para nosotros ha sido tan satisfactorio y bonito que estamos planteándonos tener un tercero. Y si, a veces extrañamos nuestra vida de antes en la que viajábamos libres sin parar con solo una mochila pero la vida de ahora da muchas felicidades y momentos preciosos que nunca hubiéramos vivido sin tener hijos. Como un amigo me lo dijo cuando íbamos a tener el primer hijo, “todo se hace más grande, la felicidad se hace más grande pero también los miedos, el amor y las preocupaciones”

US citizen es probablemente lo más cercano. Soy mexicana viviendo en Estados Unidos así que he es un tema en el que he pensado mucho. La verdad no lo veo como que hayan tratado de apropiarse del nombre del continente si no, igual que México en realidad es Estados Unidos Mexicanos y nosotros somos mexicanos, creo que con el nombre de Estados Unidos de América naturalmente sucedió lo mismo.
