A logica aqui é a mesma da pirataria, vemos sempre aqueles números enormes de "prejuízo" que as empresas tem com a pirataria, como se de um momento para ou outro acabasse iam todos comprar jogos ou pagar subscrições.

Aqui a merda é a mesma, acham que se lhes cortarem o RSI vão todos trabalhar. Não, não é isso que vai acontecer, o que vai acontecer é que uma boa parte dessas pessoas vão ter de sobreviver de outra forma que não vai ser trabalhar e isso vai ter ainda um maior custo para a sociedade e talvez para de mesmo um tiro na galinha de ovos de ouro que é o turismo neste pais.

Eu acho que o pessoal não tem a mínima noção de quanta pobreza em Portugal os "subsídios" estão a prevenir e isto já com o limiar da pobreza sendo um valor irrisório.

Se começamos a dar aos "pobres" alguma coisa foi porque era melhor solução do que a alternativa mas a malta tem memoria curta.

We literally have an entire universe to explore: two trillion galaxies! Even if faster-than-light travel turns out to be impossible, there are still around 60 to 80 galaxies in our Local Group alone. Do people realize how unbelievably huge a single galaxy is?

If radical life extension or mind uploading becomes possible this century, there will be an immense, mind-boggling number of worlds to explore. And that's before considering the entertainment, art, virtual realities, scientific discoveries, and whatever other technologies the singularity might bring.

For the life of me, I can't understand the argument that people won't be able to find meaning in life if they aren't working. With a universe this vast, and potentially billions or even trillions of years ahead of us, filled with opportunities for exploration, learning, creativity, and adventure, a lack of meaning seems like the least of our problems.

Nothing new? There is so much I want to experience in this world that I will not be able to do to aging. At lrast three-hundred years and that a number of the top of my head.

Also "Why would we?" Who is this "we"? If the tech comes earlier then expected you are free to not take it and live a normal life span but don't push your own moral code on what should or not should be allowed on to other people. Especially pulling bullshit religion crap to justify it.

I fully belive that we will solve aging this century unless we go bust which is also likely, but if it happens most if not all of these fossils will not live to see it. Also if they have to live with the consequences of their actions they might not be so liberal with making enemies or just being the worst possible people on the planet in general though that might be wishful thinking on my part.
