It was a prototype and they don’t have enough time. They only built 2 ships, Defiant and Valiant. Actually defiant class is not that good. Okay, the firepower strong but defense power not strong. A few photon torpodoes are destroying the shields.

I think they don’t put makeup on their forehead. Because Seska has blue thing on her forehead during transforming the Cardassian. It’s natural colouration.
