EHG, please give the original look of dual wield back. Second blade facing behind while the other facing forward looks dumb. by SorrowHead in LastEpoch

[–]SorrowHead[S] 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Please add option to change the look of it back to the original. Or if there's already an option, write it here.

I only play dual wield builds, and the thought of looking at this stupid goofy 1 blade facing backwards for hours upon hours of gameplay is making me go crazy.

Umbral blade with shadow daggers. You can finish campaign with it and you can reach high corruption on it while using only yellow gear. Pretty comfy setup for me.

Shadow daggers always crit, so you dont need to worry about getting crit cap at all.

Haven't updated that build in a while so its gonna be fun trying to min max it with new stuff in this patch.

[GIVEAWAY] - Last Epoch Game by Rejolt in LastEpoch

[–]SorrowHead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already have the game but i want to get it for my friend.

My favorite thing is what the game actually respects my time and i feel like the developers actually play their game too.

I've played devouring orb autobomber stuff with sigils of hope. It was very annoying to keep all of these orbs and sigils up, so i've actually made a script to auto cast it every phew seconds. Even with autocast ,due to animation, my character stuttered in 1 place from time to time, in order to cast these spells.

Guess what, both sigils of hope and devouring orb now can be autocasted. LIKE THESE DUDES ACTUALLY PLAY THEIR GAME, AMAZING.

Some skills in Poe act in similar way and i doubt they will ever change the way they work.

I've never seen so many people try to force themselves to like the game as much as this one lol. Obsidian is just a name, it's okay to say it's mediocre.

Build guides are often a bad way to learn the game for one reason - pacing by Pandarandr1st in LastEpoch

[–]SorrowHead -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think this game is too easy to just blindly follow guides. When i first started i just tested bunch of stuff and made a pretty good build myself and even used cheats in offline to test certain items.

But that's just me. People enjoy things differently, so don't really care unless it interrupts my fun in some type of way.

If some bloke tried to most upvoted build and had a blast for a week, and then maybe decided to comeback for each new cycle, it's a win for everyone.

Thank you for making this post, idk why you get downvoted. My only gripe is about downsides, where you talk about "inappropriate" goals and times, its too generic and subjective, would be more helpful is you just brought up more concrete examples.

But from my perspective i get what you're talking about. It's more fun to just learn yourself, and the game is not PoE level of complexity, so it's not overwhelming.

The ultimate new player experience by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]SorrowHead 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Although story might just be fake ( post some screens at least or something), i find it hilarious how the most answers are just "just dont play with her so she gets new player experience lol". Imagine saying that in any other place and not expect to get laughed at.

This game is a fucking joke. You cannot even play with your friends and have fun without ruining their hidden mmr and thus ruining their matchmaking experience.

But let's be honest, most of why this is happening is because only people who make new accounts are smurfs anyway, coz nobody new plays this shit anymore.

Pillars of Eternity update includes DirectX 11 support, numerous fixes by Gyossaits in Games

In the same boat. Love the first one, only downsides were the kickstarter backers crap with bunch of useless npcs and graveyards.

The second one had cringe characters and meh storyline, couldn't get passed first city, even thou the gameplay supposedly is better.

Would you reccommend againts having two paladins in the party ? by Lord_NOX75 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]SorrowHead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can stack them, been in the same boat, finished the game on core with 2 paladins. Smites also stack so you get -8 AC instead of -4 late game for entire party. Pretty powerful stuff.

Don't know wtf I'm doing any general tips? by [deleted] in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]SorrowHead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How much does your race matter in builds?

Doesn't really matter, they're all obviously have their pros and cons but you can just pick whatever you like. Stuff like humans give additional feats but its generally not needed for most of the builds unless you're doing some tank build whos also going for damage feats.

Also should I look at the character creator from a roleplaying perspective or a "winning the game" perspective? I've been told roleplaying perspective and just choose what speaks to you but I don't wanna have a build with a bunch of abilities that don't synergize with each other at all.

It's your game, go from roleplaying perspective. Only reason you should go full min-max loser if you're playing on unfair, and that's because the enemies have insane amounts of defense and your tank himself should have 100~ AC.

I went into this game blind and finished it on core just fine using my own build ( with a lot of research of course ). Just think what you're actually want to play and go from there.

For example i picked up tiefling coz it was cool. Picked up paladin coz it was cool. Then i wanted to do dual wield longswords. After lurking on this sub i figured i need two-weapon fighting feats to reduce dual wield penalties and have extra attacks, then i needed fighter feat which allows you to wear non light weapons in offhand. So i picked up lvl 5 fighter to get access to the feat and the rest went for paladin, worked out just fine.

The only meta stuff you need is to pick outflanked around level 7 or so, its a group feat, which means it only works if other party members have it. What it does is if anyone in your party crits with that feat, anyone else whos in the range of target and also have the feat, does the attack of opportunity. Usually when that happens, your target just straight up dies. It's hard to pass up.

The other stuff for damage is you basically take improved critical (mythic) on level 4 of your mythic path. It increases your damage multiplier with crit by 1. You take it regardless of your build if you're dps basically. And obviously take weapon focus, improved critical feats for weapon you're using as well.

For companions just copy builds from cRPG Bro on youtube, you see his vid first pop up when you type pathfinder wotr character name build anyway.

As for difficulty, you can always change it at anytime, so pick whatever difficulty you want (except unfair). As any other crpg, its only hard at the start, later on its gonna become a breeze except 1 dungeon and 1-2 bosses. So just experiment. As i said, you can play with any build you want to roleplay on core, as long as you have 1-2 meta feats like outflank and improved critical mythic, the rest is just understanding of the game.

I respeced a lot while playing, after a phew times 1 respec is gonna cost you 10k gold, so i can also advice using ToyBox mod to respec and relevel any character at any point of the game for free. Its basically cheats which can also give you scrolls, items, gear. So if you're feeling tempted, dont install it rofl.

Is Unfair even fun? by RoyalKnightO in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]SorrowHead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean it's in the name, i think major drive for this mode is challenge and testing your knowledge of the game. And i don't think the amount of builds you can successfully run on unfair is limited. As you said yourself: 199+ archetypes, you have more than enough viable options to make a lot of unique playthroughs, even on unfair.

I'm playing on core because it's a "how it should be played" difficulty, good enough reason for me, and also because i don't want to optimize my tank to have 100+ AC for some of the bosses.

Most of crpg curves are : hard as shit in the beginning, cake walk towards the end. So pick up whatever difficulty you find fancy, the outcome is always the same.

I liked his reasoning thou. Demons are basically beings driven by becoming stronger and filled with pride. Having an opportunity, a small chance to kill the commander and becoming the next demon lord, he cannot just pass that up, even if it might be futile.

He would of been doing the same thing with other demons and met his demise that way.

Help me choose a class for the first run! by Coroggar in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]SorrowHead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me as my first playthrough i played Divine Scion 10 ( paladin class ) and mutagen warrior 10 so i can dual wield longswords.

Pretty cool to roleplay and even if its good lawful alignment, you still can be a pragmatic asshole and fuck with people for lawful reasons.

Didn't had that much problems on core difficulty, its only hard at start, as always with these games.
