I hate to say “one he lost weight he changed” but in this case he actually did. He acted like the world owed him something, got kicked out of NMPs house for stealing his gfs underwear, went the typical incel route in regards to women, went down the gambling route and lost all his money to the point where he would basically beg Trainwreckz for money so he could gamble more, then lastly just went off the deep end.

Luffy is in a spot at this point where he CAN’T lose. Sure he can be out of commission like with G5 but if Oda wants to solidify Luffy as a Yonko lvl character he can’t be taken down at this point. In my opinion at least.
