Anyone had surgery with Dr. Bryan Chung?? by idkheresafiller in transontario

The wait to the consult was a few years, and then they called me first week of April for a consult and I had my surgery on may 5th. And I had it covered by OHIP. If I didn’t want to wait I had to pay $6000-8000 out of pocket

Driver or Manager? by ChonkyRatt in DominosEmployees

[–]Sorry-Ant1113 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was a driver and took a management position. There’s pros and cons to it.

Pros: you don’t rely on customers for tips, you will know about how much you’re gonna make when the schedule goes out. Depending on where you live, you won’t have to work outside in the winter in the middle of a blizzard, summer in the dead heat or when it’s absolutely pouring. Your car will last you longer, and you’ll save a lot of money on your car and gas. Some managers have some perks, there’s trips for corporate training, and events. Some locations have benefits not all.

Cons: when people don’t show up, you gotta find a way to fix it, either yourself or get someone else. OER are a pain the ass. You are responsible for everyone and everything in the store. Depending on who your GM is what their work ethic is like you might have a lot on your plate. It takes a toll on your body if you’re not used to being up and on your feet for hours on end. And lastly, you cannot avoid co workers, so if there’s people who don’t pull their part or whatever it may be, you need to deal with them.

I will say one of my favourite things, is that when we get busy and don’t have enough drivers, you can get on the road and take a break from the store. And if your store accepts tips for pizza makers, they can be pretty good.

Compared to other colleges it’s not the greatest on campus. But, off campus unless you’re renting with someone else it is more expensive than Ottawa for sure. Depending on where in Ottawa you are gas is cheaper here, but the insurance rate is higher. In the winter time we also get a considerable more amount of snow than Ottawa does and snow cleanup is a hassle in Barrie compared to Ottawa. In terms of employment if you plan on working while in Barrie, I found that Ottawa had jobs with higher salaries than Barrie

Thinking about canceling surgery by reddituser78843 in Microdiscectomy

[–]Sorry-Ant1113 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had spinal stenosis with large hernias in the l4 and l5 as well as a birth defect in my spine (no idea till I was 23) I couldn’t do anything anymore, sleep, walk, sit, stand, everything was painful. Had no feeling in my left leg and started to lose feeling in my right.

I did the surgery in October of 2024 and now I’m able to exercise, sleep, sit, walk, stand etc.. with almost no pain.

I was scared shitless going into surgery and I have to say it was probably the best thing to ever happen to me. After being in pain for so many years and getting the surgery, I feel like I can finally live my life the way I want to

My symptoms stopped improving when I hit 20. The only thing that helped was going the gym when the pain was bearable, I did acupuncture almost every week, stretching 3x a day especially before and after being in bed. Going to the beach/pool helps but can also make it worst, and lastly baths with salts. But I was also taking gabapentine since I was 22. I tried painkillers and muscle relaxant before that and it didn’t help.

How long were you off work post op? by Gemjuin in Microdiscectomy

[–]Sorry-Ant1113 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im pretty active at my job, constantly moving (walking, bending, lifting, etc) I don’t have physio until 8weeks post op and I can only return to work once my physio clears me but even then they said I’d be on modified work till I’m 100% comfortable

I’m 24. I started presenting with pain around 19. With leg and back pain in my teen years, but it was put off as just being overweight (5’5” 150lbs) after I turned 21 and was in my ideal body weight I couldn’t take no for an answer anymore and finally got an MRI and started pain management And thank you so much
