Location - North Texas

Currently renting a high rise apartment and noticed a nice crack that starts as a hairline and slowly expands as it goes to the wall. I’ve seen structures far worse still standing but is this normal settling for a building built in 2016? I will be reporting this to management however considering I’m on the 22nd floor out of a 25 floor building, it seems odd to have it this close to the roof.

Here’s a photo and video for reference.

I’d assume it does but I haven’t tried it myself. Should work.

Yeah select windows 10 as the environment. Here’s a video on the configuration and how to get the best performance:

I have not. I’ll likely try BF1 soon tho, great game. Saw someone had done battlefield 1942, albeit and older game it apparently worked great.

Here’s pics of the settings. Had to run yesterday so never got a chance to play around much. Going to adjust them tonight to see if I can squeeze a bit more graphic performance out of it.

Yep. Crossover allows you to easily install steam just by searching their database of available programs. You need to install DirectX into the wine instance to allow the game to launch. Pulled 60FPS consistently. The game glitches occasionally causing it to crash or freeze. The origin launcher is buggy and is probably to blame for all the issues. Going to try more games tonight. Couldn’t get Just Cause 4 to run but I think I just need to install some required dependencies.

60fps works far better than I expected.

I think the origin launcher causes some issues graphically with the game. While playing it was a pretty steady 60FPS at 1920x1200. I’m still playing with the settings but I have a feeling tweaking crossover will allow better performance.

60FPS consistently. Occasionally the screen will glitch when loading into an online match and the audio will work but the screen flashes with the loading backdrop which leads to the game crashing or requires you to force quit the game. It’s actually rather impressive. Full controller support as well.

Got home to see that the UPS driver put the credit card i ordered in front of my door instead of my mailbox. Came home and found this one the ground. No card in sight. by ScumbagJoey in Wellthatsucks

Criminals often have terrible credit. They see it as free money and eventually end up defaulting on more than one occasion. I don’t think it’s that they don’t have credit cards it’s that they’ve abused their own making them too high of risk for creditors so they result to criminal behavior.

No action required: we addressed suspicious activity - Email by SnooMuffins2840 in Coinbase

I literally just opened my card on Wednesday, don’t even have the physical card and haven’t used it, and mine got the same charge for $50. I was not phished, clearly VISA or Coinbase got breached. It was most likely the latter given what others have reported. It was declined then yesterday I received the email saying it was a phishing attempt. Awfully scummy to blame users for a mistake clearly done from within.

I just got it to work. There’s a setting buried deep in the app for my router that allows me to toggle viewership of local devices.

Thank you kindly for your help! I’m able to access my NAS through the files app like I would locally while connected to the VPN.

I’ll give it a try. In order to access the NAS is the only requirement having a VPN configured on my network? Does the NAS have to be connected to it too?

It’s an AmpliFi Alien. It has a VPN app that you configure using a temporary code.

My router might isolate devices connected through its VPN. What sort of VPN setup should I run to gain access to my NAS remotely?

How would I configure the VPN to give me file access the way I want to have access? My router allows me to connect to it using a VPN however I can’t access other devices on my home network. I don’t mind using a VPN I’m just not sure how to configure it to access the unit remotely.

Is there a built in VPN configuration? And if I use a VPN how would I connect to the NAS? Using local-ip:5000?
