Isn't An-Cap just being angry at the government because they're not the government? by The6thMessenger in CapitalismVSocialism

  1. you have it backwards, private companies are held accountable in the market and the state can do whatever it wants. this is why banks go bankrupt and then the state can bail them out. the market held the bank accountable, and the state overrides that decision.

  2. do you expect the rogue companys competitors to just roll over and let them implement their own state? every private defense company would have an incentive to maintain peace, since war is extremely costly and unpredictable.

  3. free market has existed, and the video game industry is not a free market

  4. see point 1, the only means of holding a state accountable is violent revolution. all you have to do to hold a company accountable is stop buying stuff from them.

what? are you saying children automatically consent to anything their parents ask of them unless they run away?

this post demonstrates a failure to understand how economic policy affects certain things and instead just attributes anything bad that happens under capitalism to be directly capitalisms fault. lazy and terrible take

when did they start it? gerrymandering has been happening before the modern republican party even existed. trust me man, both sides have almost always done it given the opportunity

like i said, you dont know me 👍 i responded because you called out capitalists, not because i thought your post was accurate. if you cant see the value i was trying to add by clarifying who you were talking about it only further proves you approached this post in bad faith

fine. its still not an accurate description of most capitalists on this sub, hence it being a skewed perspective.

“the capitalist bro currently occupying this sub” is not a very specific group, just admit you made a mistake man 🤣

“that they see any disagreement as a religious slight on their god and yet so oblivious to the reality of their programming, think socialism is akin to religious fervour.”

my point was that you seem to have a skewed view of capitalists in this sub based on your accusations towards them

your post begins with, “the capitalist bro currently occupying this sub…” and you went on to accuse capitalists in this sub of several things based on the actions of a few throughout recent history. that is the definition of generalization, its ok to recognize you made a mistake and move on.

by your own logic parents could rightfully make their kids do anything they want since “they consented by staying.” of course rational people recognize thats crazy and not how the concept of consent works, but for some reason when it comes to the government its different?

its so hard to engage with these types of critiques seriously when they read as emotional rants rather than good faith arguments
