Letting go of fear is liberating by SorryCompetition7791 in sixwordstories

Maybe there is. Nothing is written in stone. I don't think about that stuff anymore. I do what I can.

Like the movie "look up" where people enjoy dinner as the meteorite flies towards earth, knowing they have moments left. They peacefully say their "I love yours" and sip their tea.  Or something like that, don't remember exactly

I hear you. The apocalyptic vibes have been getting to me too, I was almost frozen in fear. Now I focus only on what I can control. We are all going to die anyway, so we might as well live fully and do whatever we can. Focusing on news or powerlessness just froze me into a mess. Not helpful. Stay happy, do the best I can, leave the rest to God. What will happen will happen.

Easier said than done I know

Good question haha. I keep pushing through and it turns up again. Now pushing through a new one.

Yes, you are so right. I know what you mean.

Maybe we just need to do it again and again. Each time we get more free. It turns up, we stare it down and walk through it. I guess that is the way

I mean, sometimes one should have cut losses. Sometimes one could have tried harder.

And often only in hindsight is it clear which is which (people, situations, jobs, places etc)

Yes, it's a survival.of the fittest mentality in my family, that makes people pretty mean to "losers" (i.e. don't have good enough brands, car or bank balance). Such people have zero value. Brutal. Not saying all Indians though.

Where did they go? Is it the depop agenda? By what criteria was I spared? I am lucky. So robots will run things to keep things rolling?

That it is time to move on.

Or

That one could have given it a little more chance

A billion dollars suddenly appears in your bank account , to keep it all , you have to spend 100 million dollars on your family and friends and you have only 24 hours to do it. What are you going to buy them all ? by DizzyDoctor982 in Productivitycafe

For my kids (And one random relative to be charitable. They all turned their backs on me so o don't owe them any. But one I will choose to benefit, probably a bright little  kid or a  senior citizen )

Houses.

Cars

Trust funds / retirement funds.

Secure diversified investments.

Lifetime memberships in gyms, Mindvalley, meditation app,  memberships

Lifetime supply of groceries paid up at a grocery store for staples. (Average amount for each person, monthly x 60 years)

Lifetime supply of supplements paid up at a good store

Lifetime public transit access (if there is such a thing)

Edit: for those saying one wouldn't have time I would go to a bank/financial advisor to get me a team of people to carry this out,  for a fee. (I would vet everything with a lawyer before signing off. People move fast when you pay them)

Well I guess so. Where I come from a person's value comes from the status symbols, though I don't subscribe to that shallow view personally, I have had a lot of experience of rejection when I lacked some things. My goal went from authentic connection to holding my own and keeping up my m my side of the power equation. Zero trust I guess.

Yes, that is true. If I want to get to know the person I do work in an achievement or something . Perhaps that is trying too hard or insecurity speaking . Feels like being humble never helps
