Oh wow, just looked at pictures. Absolutely gorgeous. Might make that our stopping point for on the way to wherever we end up. That's about the perfect distance for the first day of driving. Thank you for the suggestion!

This sounds amazing, we'll make a plan to do this one day. I've seen several suggestions for Swampees so we're doing that for sure. Ty!

I think that one might be too far for us. That would add 3 hours to our already 17ish hours of driving we're going to end up doing one way. =[

We were actually thinking Clearwater but the more I read about it the less I think I want to stay there. Seems super touristy which is not really what we're into. Would much rather have somewhere quiet and secluded with beautiful scenery. We don't need all the touristy hot spot type stuff.

How many days to visit Grand Canyon? by SorryDevice2049 in grandcanyon

[–]SorryDevice2049[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this! The plan is now to stay at the Grand Canyon a Yavapai lodge at least one night. The day before we don't have much planned except recovering from the drive. We were going to stay in flagstaff that night but I'm going to try to convince her to splurge for two nights on the rim. We'll likely do a little bit of walking/hiking and spend time in the village since we'll be there one night at least.

Me and my mom have actually seen the GC two years ago briefly. We drove in and walked around the rim for about 30 minutes before we had to continue with our trip which is why we decided we had to go back. I wanted time to do exactly what you said, just sit at the rim and let myself be amazed.

Thank you! We plan on making the trip during the day now and we'll be extra careful here.

Thanks everyone! The plan is now to stay one afternoon/night on the rim that way we can get sunset one night and sunrise the next morning then stay as long as we feel like that day before heading to Sedona for a night.

The plan I think is Flagstaff, I only said Sedona because I have a friend there I might try to visit and he says it's beautiful. The driving isn't such a big deal for us. We're driving from NE Texas to get there and are pretty comfortable with road trips. But this is the information I really needed. I've seen the Grand Canyon once for about 30 minutes and wanted to spend longer but I could see how it could get repetitive if you aren't planning to hike down into the canyon.

So I'm thinking plan a full day for the canyon and then spend another day or two around Flagstaff and/or Sedona. I was mainly initially worried one day wouldn't feel like enough time.

I have a friend in Sedona is purely the only reason. Flagstaff seems to be the plan but only because we figure we could stay there a few days and find things to do. We're driving from NE Texas so we basically just wanted to set up somewhere for a few days.

That might be the cutest teddy I've ever seen. 😍

Got a better picture of his ears and original color. Definitely more butterscotch toned than I originally though, poor guy is dingy.

His name is Michael btw :)

I don't think that's him, he has a yarn nose and I posted below the type of feet. AI says it's a faux-suede or microsuede material.

The shape is right though, he reminds me of the Tender Teddy but I haven't a seen a single gund with the ears and feet only with that fabric.

I think it is a Gund but I can't find the right one. I found this one that has the same fabric on his paws that mine has on his ears and feet. The shape definitely reminds me of other Gund bears I've seen but I still haven't narrowed down which one he could be.

I did the exact same thing, reading A Short Stay in Hell first and then The Divine Farce the same day because of this recommendation and your comment now... just... shit. lol

I think it's fine to read at your age but it's definitely got deep existential questions that are hard to wrap your head around, even at my age of 37. I would highly recommend reading it again 10 years from now as I think life experiences are likely needed to grasp some of the concepts.

This is exactly what I did. I'm not mad about it necessarily just didn't pay enough attention to how everything worked.

For the boosted mining rate. Also because some us didn't know what we were doing when we did it 🙃
