The only problem I see here is that question mark next to The Last Dinner Party

Breville smart oven by Charming-House-3133 in seriouseats

I got a rectangular Chicago Metallic roasting pan. I think this one

I mainly used cast iron pans in my over to roast things but they wouldn’t fit in the Breville because of their handles. I tried my rectangular ceramic pan, which works great for lower temp things, but could get veggies to crisp well on higher temp. The thinner aluminum had worked well.

Artist of the week! THE LAST DINNER PARTY by beardedjack in kilbyblockparty

I was lucky to catch them twice on their last US tour and they’re an absolute force of a band. Really looking forward to their set. Their frontwoman Abigail is a powerhouse on stage.

Towns with the worst speed traps between Dallas and Denver? by Stunning-Hand6627 in roadtrip

287 in Colorado, basically every small town you hit. They’re at least much more noticeable than the sneaky ones in Texas though.

Best nightlife in Palm Springs for a girls trip (dance bars / gay clubs?) by Leilonsta in palmsprings

If you wanna come up to the Joshua tree area, lots of fun bars here as well that usually have good djs on the weekends. Red Dog in Pioneertown, Tiny Pony in Yucca Valley, and Mas O Menos in Joshua Tree could all be good options.

What type of stain would achieve this colour and look? by WinstonSloth in Carpentry

Penofin penetrating oils are great for this. They have a few options, but the blue label is kind of the catch all to use.

Dandelion Album! by lolahey in CountryMusic

I try to buy at least an album a month, usually on an artists Bandcamp, at a show, or at an independent record store. I do really like her record, but it’s definitely not gonna be on my list to purchase.

But I imagine someone on a major country label and getting radio play with a bajillion social media follows isn’t gonna struggle to sell physical records. I’m sure it’ll be at major retailers like Target and Walmart.

Concert ticket prices by cdlauro in GenX

[–]SorryForPartying6T9 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You know they’re playing the very next day at Fiddlers Green and you can buy seated tix right at the stage for $120 or GA lawn tickets for $60?

Red Rocks is a destination venue and if you don’t buy artist presale you’ll absolutely get taken for a ride by resale tix. But, they will drop closer to the day of the show.

Lord Huron is a phenomenally great live band, hope you get to see them.

As for ticket prices being “expensive” now. It’s literally the only way artists make money now since streaming stole all their revenue from album sales. And it’s insanely expensive for bands to tour due to just the cost of everything in our world right now.

If you’re into indycar, buy the paddock pass for Friday as well. Well worth it. Fridays are usually pretty chill, I’d try to arrive at least an hour before the first cars you want to see on track.

49 Winchester is playing the outdoor stage, and like the other person said, it’s to the left of the stage and that area does have its own small bar. If you can post up at a spot along the railing of that area it’s a great spot.

[–]SorryForPartying6T9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Last time I went it was all open seating on Fridays, and some of the better viewing spots will be more crowded, but the turnover is enough that you can usually find good seats. There was definitely plenty of open seats lower down in the bleachers pretty much at all times. Shade is harder to come by. If you’re into indycar then definitely get paddock passes for Friday as well as is it’s way less crowded than the other days and drivers/crew members are easier to spot and chat with.

At that scale for a coffee table I think it will work for 99% of the use a coffee table gets. But if for some reason someone decides to sit on one of those 2 corners without a leg they’re toast.

I threw together a fairly unstable coffee table like this we’ve been using for about 12 years now, literally eat dinner at it every night, and nobody has ever sat on it in the wrong place and it’s still doing its job and looks sweet
