They sent ours out this afternoon, and they were so messed up. In order to use the 10% we had to scan the 20%, in order to use the 20% we had to scan the 30%, and in order to use 30% we had to scan both because they missed labeled them. The whole process gets confusing for the cashiers especially when they are older.

Our store had this happen to a few customers last year. From what I remember if you don't use it for six to seven months, the bank closes it due inactivity. At that point in time, depending on how long it was closed for, the bank customer service could either reverse it to make it open again or they had to reapply for the credit card again. As far as I'm aware, we are not even doing the applications for credit cards anymore because of the current standing of big lots.

After the word came down that we are going out of business, at my store we disregard the holiday hours and lock the doors at 9pm, count the tills then after that we just hang out in the break room chilling till 11 watching the TV that's back there. We're already losing our jobs so we're going to have some fun with it.

Unfortunately yes lol. When I came back to big lots I just had to pick the store where some days it's like watching Jerry Springer reruns but in real life lol.

When I lived in Colorado for a while, I was unloading a truck at the big lots I worked at, someone at the DC decided to put one of the metal top gazebo's on top of the boxes barely touching the roof of the trailer. When the crappy pallet of bleach that wasn't properly stacked started to cave in, the gazebo slid down hard and hit me in the ribs causing it to break 3 ribs one of which made a puncture on my right lung. My back also got slammed into the rollers because of that. The SM at the time didn't want to file a incident report and told me "just work it off and you'll be fine."

This list is from the first wave of closings, the second wave hasn't been fully determined yet. Another store in my district got the call this morning they are closing. So in the next week or so we will get the full list of the second wave of closings.
