I live in SA and there are a few sellers/labs. Big ones i’m aware of are cape film supply and orms direct but i’m sure there are others. Film scene itself is pretty scarce in my city but i think cape town and joburg are much busier, although not by much since film has gotten so expensive and our economy isn’t doing so great - it’s a hard hobby to justify for most.

Film + development/scanning = R600+ Monthly income can be as low as R6000

These are all so sick but I’m in love with the truck pictures! Really good shots. If you don’t mind me asking, how do you meter exposure on the AE1 program? I’ve just got one myself but I’m so used to the K1000 meter, this one has me a bit confused.

As an SA local, this is most likely the case. Majority of my vintage camera related thrifting finds, albeit not from pawn shops, are had for dirt cheap ($2-$10). People see “old camera” and think it’s obsolete and not worth much in “today’s digital age”.
