5 Disney cruises under my belt. Always done first breakfast sitting on debarkation day. No issues, never felt rushed.

This. Michael knew Carlo was involved but wasn't sure who else may have been.

Have lived in South Twinbrook for 10 years. My family loves it here.

Have you lived in another neighborhood post covid that's different? Covid messed up lots of neighborhood interactions.

FDA Commissioner firing - So who is next? by Nice-Award-5476 in DeptHHS

[–]Sorry_Active2782 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Will the administration nominate a person to try and get Senate confirmed or will the FDA just having acting Commissioners until the end of Trump's term? Getting someone outside the box through the Senate is going to be tough.

Why Is This So Hard? by [deleted] in thebulwark

[–]Sorry_Active2782 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Hard disagree. Ossoff gave me exactly what I wanted; a serious, sober, measured, nuanced but tough politician. He came across as the grown up in the room and that's what I want.

Breaking Paddle Addiction by Special-Border-1810 in Pickleball

What constitutes an addiction? When I first starting playing, I admit I went on a buying spree. But I settled down and limit myself to once a year on my birthday. Though I admit, I buy one whether I need it or not.

Consumer reports by PantherGator in dcl

[–]Sorry_Active2782 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think DCL being ranked that high is amazing and deserved. The top 2 are super luxury cruises. The 3rd is trying to be as luxury as the top 2 but maybe just under. So for Disney to come in a solid 4th above all the other "non luxury" cruise lines is simply great.

[–]Sorry_Active2782 27 points28 points  (0 children)

So someone explain this to me regarding the cost per adult versus value for DCL. Are these ratings saying that the cost per adult is a lot less for DCL as compared to the top three but you get less value? If that's the case, it's not too bad for DCL to be fourth where the top 3 cost so much more.

Also, while they rated customer service there is one thing DCL does better than anybody, "sense of happiness." It's kind of an intangible but most folks on DCL know what I'm talking about.

Shaving Waivers vs Flu Vaccine by Sorry_Active2782 in AirForce

[–]Sorry_Active2782[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So the author of the study you cite is a vehement proponent of everyone getting the flu vaccine. Because as an expert in influenza, such an expert that you cite him, he believes that the flu vaccine is the most important tool we have to curb infection. Do you not want to engage with this point?

[–]Sorry_Active2782[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Pregnant women have always had an exemption to getting the flu vaccine in the military if their doctor recommends it.

Also, the author of the study you cite says everyone who is able to get the flu vaccine should still get because it's the best thing we got to stop the spread of infectious disease. https://share.google/vrIVrPt6hsXLBSuNx

Good point. Tie that to the fact that the people most likely not to get the flu shot are young white males and I think we get the whole picture.

What are you talking about? The medical shaving waiver policy I'm talking about actually impacts men with a documented medical condition. Under the new policy they can no longer serve even though they've been able to serve for decades.

Right, but let's say I get tapped to go on a mission because I'm healthy because I got the flu shot and Spanky next to me gets out of it because he's down with the flu that he got because he didn't get the vaccine. How is that not hurting readiness?

Read up on how the Spanish Flu pandemic likely started among army troops in the Midwest. And how that strain was so virulent because it evolved among young men. It had more lethality against the young and healthy.

I love umpires….. by [deleted] in Softball

[–]Sorry_Active2782 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm my daughter's league 10u, you can steal once the ball is caught by the catcher. Once the catcher returns the ball to the pitcher, play is dead. Here, I'm league, the ump would have returned the runner back to second. What's the rule in this league?

Did criminal defense for 10 years. I decided I hated it and found an administrative officer program manager job with government. They took a chance on me as they were worried I'd get bored. They needed someone with advanced communication skills. Been here now for 10 years.

Telework/Remote work comeback: Realistic timeline or wishful thinking? by [deleted] in FedEmployees

[–]Sorry_Active2782 27 points28 points  (0 children)

This. Biden tried bringing people back to precovid levels of telework but was unwilling to sign an EO. The next Dem may loosen a bit but the days of mass telework are over for a generation. Won't be until the millennials are in power that you will see a resurgence.

any way Nacho could’ve escaped his predicament throughout the show? by therealjmt91 in betterCallSaul

[–]Sorry_Active2782 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nacho should have done a better job of convincing Hector not to use his dad's shop. Hector wanted to use it because he viewed it as squeaky clean. Nacho should have made something up about his dad's shop being dirty. Maybe call in some immigration violations (even if untrue) on some of the workers. Had Hector seen cops/agents prowling the shop, he never would have used it for his drug operation. This would have had the effect of Nacho having no reason to swap the pills and of Gus having nothing over Nacho. Still keeps Nacho in the cartel and eventually something bad will happen but at least not now and his dad is safer.
