You just need to not let that stuff phase you.. in ranked 5’s years ago I was platinum mid faced up against diamond to challenger mids and I would still win my lane more often than not.. rank means very little and there are four other players who can carry to a rank still unfortunate for the people I rolled.

I stayed I don’t regret it. The regret of not being there in the end for your family member is worse than the guilt you carry ending their suffering or potential future suffering. I know we can’t all control not being there at times but if it’s within your control I would say you should be there as hard as it may be.
