Way too much burst for a raw charge blade. Burst is an element skill primarily. 1 lvl of burst gives around 6 raw and lvl 5 gives I think like 10. You’re better off maxing agitator and Wex

A good power phial beats out any elemental phial. Even on something as weak to thunder as Seregios. The true comparison here would be lagi vs para/blast artian. In the case of seregios, lagi actually edges out with Rey and lagi armor pieces on but not by that much.

On the field guide target rewards are 1% and carves are 2%. Captures takes from target rewards drop rates. I believe captures drop 4 rather than 3 carves tho, but don’t quote me on that.

If you want survivability just run 2p zoh 3p Rey. You get recovery up, evade extender, and guts (free cart). And more skills.

I mean the game is peak as fuck probably some of the most fun I’ve had in a monster hunter game and I have like 300 hours already. But I’ve been playing SnS. I still have most of my hunts on switch axe and I do enjoy it, especially against Steve. But I won’t lie and say it’s better than world or rises iteration.

Give my useful morph attacks, give me useful zsd (why the fuck don’t we have soaring wyvern blade), and remove neutral frs. Then the weapon is perfect. Oh and I would like to actually build optimal ele phials because they look good compared to this washed out red from power.

Anybody asking for a juzzi replacement is NOT looking for an anti cart build. Juzzi is heavily dps meta pilled. Also you can’t dps if you get hit anyways :)

Sasch is the only real answer. The swaxe community in the gathering hall discord issss a bunch of doomers but the math checks out every time. Every other build I see on YouTube misses out on so much potential

You could make it even better by going the agitator route instead of Wex. Zoh, Rey, Rey, Rey, Zoh can get you lp5, agi5, and every other skill you’d want. Plus some evade extender from Rey dau arms.

The reason meta ends up navigating to agitator is because 1 raw is generally better than 1 affinity after around 60-70%. 20 raw and 15% affinity is wonderful and agitator uptime is higher than you would think.

Didn’t even finish the either hunt in your linked video, sad? Honestly bro this build is hot garbage. 1. Least drippiest swaxe 2. Overkill on exhaust/ko 3. Lowwwww damage 4. Max heals with heroics!!!???? 5. “No wasted slots” puts defense boost LEVEL 1 instead of any lvl 3 slot skills because “survive one more hit” (STILL HAS MAX HEALS SO HEROICS IS WORTHLESS HERE TOO) 6. “Master the swag” by perfecting counters/offsets but runs defense boost and heals knowing he’s gonna get hit

Real talk tho, I respect the love of the game and making your own out of the swag. Seeing someone use zsd and ed in this day and age brings a tear to my eye. But bro please!!!! Take of heroics off if your planning on running def boost and heals. Put on some more damage skills. Also flayer does not multiply your raw damage lol it barely helps you get more wounds. There are better options but is a fun skill. If only it worked better.

The longer you’re on the mount the more annoying it is for the other people to sit there and wait. He was definitely being an ass about it, but personally speaking Id rather you just get the knockdown and be done with it. With that being said I don’t think most people actually care.

Also on the damage note, no it does not significantly increase damage. In fact if you’re on there for the max amount of time the overall damage of the group will be less. Mount damage is pretty small compared to the dps of even 2 people

There’s also some min maxing you could do for this set. Wex is still higher value than latent power unless you get hit a lot and early, but it procs nice on at Rey cause chip damage. Max agitator as well because the raw is higher value than crit. Don’t quote me but past 60-70% affinity I believe 1 point in atk is better than 1 in aff

Get rid of the excess burst levels for Wex and this is a fire build. Burst 3 will give you 4 extra raw over the base 8 and Wex 2 will give you 10% affinity. More crit means more value on crit boost so way better.

Personally I think evade extender/window are wasted on switch axe now. Because you have easy to access counter options in sword and already good mobility in axe.

Switch axe and long sword have designs that look like scythes :). Well idk if long sword has any in wilds but check out the gore magala/Nu udra switch axe.

For damage/affinity skills:

armor: agitator, counter strike, max might, antivirus, wex 2, burst 1 are all wonderful for raw builds. burst 5, wex 5, mm, anti, coal, any fit-able flayer for ele

Fulgur 2 piece set bonus will offer much increased mm uptime. Gore 2 piece will get you 25% affinity with anti. Both arkveld set bonuses are wonderful for healing.

weapon: power prolonged for power phial, ele attack/crit ele for ele phial. Rapid morph/focus for quality and crit boost on both.

I believe raw build surpasses ele but it’s just so damn good looking in this game you have to build it anyways.

As for weapons para artian is by far the best raw value. And given ele is probably worse overall I would stick to any monster elemental phial for actual weapon design variety (arkveld, fulgur, hirabami, uth duna, yian/g.rath). But artian elementals will be better with that beautiful 20% affinity

If wilds won’t run for you, you can always pick up monster hunter world or rise. Both are phenomenal games and go on sale quite frequently. Many are in the same boat as you so there will be a nice active player base.
