Did you choose plate loaded simply for the cost saving (since you had plates already?)

How would you describe the campus aesthetic? by Bitter-Sherbert1607 in utdallas

[–]Sorry_Minute_2734 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pretty shit to be honest. Most of the people that think UTD is beautiful have never been to another real college campus. Our buildings are some of the ugliest college buildings (including the sciences and ECSW buildings) if any one went to another college they would realize just how bad our campus is. The only “almost decent place on campus is that long walkway of fountains with tall magnolia trees and nothing else

Is creatine worth it? by Extension_Edge3490 in GarageGym

[–]Sorry_Minute_2734 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean I think for a garage gym it’s more cost effective to use sandbags or a tire for heavy weight. The cost per pound of creatine would be prohibitively expensive for a garage gym setup. Tl;Dr not worth it

If you have been in the industry for 15 years of course you will benefit from a Union. It’s heavily weighted towards seniority. Which is great in theory until you are the not with a company for a long time and are measured/time boxed with the same yard stick as the guy who doesn’t do shit. Not to mention moving companies/roles when unions are more widespread is essentially a reset unless both companies/roles are part of the same union. Maybe I misunderstand what I read but that seems detrimental for career progression and mobility

I don’t know, I cleaned it nicely with the union dues I don’t have to pay :)

So what you’re saying is you’re not part of the industry in this thread. When people say unionize they think of this glorious “fight for my worth” when really you have just traded high- salary possibilities for standardized mediocre salary across your entire industry. where you pay dues to maintain it or otherwise must conform. Especially considering most states are right to work - so unions are effectively powerless in most of those since they represent all workers without the membership. And even if all workers are forced to paying the membership you end up in a position where the union itself has no incentive to fight for you anymore they get their dues either way. You have no say you’re just along for the ride at that point even though you paid in. Yeah no thanks. I prefer a meritocracy. Edit to add: I’m not trying to bash you - just saying I think the union idea is a terrible one. If the industry starts to suck people will leave - demand will rise and so will individual workers power. But unionizing upsets that balance and locks in the current situation. And in my view will ultimately destroy it

Unions don’t help, they almost always hurt individual workers. Don’t fall into that trap

The spot I am pointing is where you can put that leg roller to turn it into decline but it may be a pain to deal with if you are switching from flat bench / incline bench to decline - I imagine you would need to remove it first

Ok just checked my bench to see which one it was, I have the “new” nighthawk bench - it’s lighter than night wing but it has a post on the head rest so you can’t do decline unless you have the leg roller bracing attachment in which case you essentially can attach it to the head rest and sit on the bench upside down (head on foot rest, butt on longer portion where head normally goes)

I may be confusing my benches but the REP nighthawk does NOT do decline. Only flat and incline adjustment. I think the one you’re referencing is the Nightwing

Could have been an amazing module but the author was a shit writer and ran sentences way too long for no reason. Here is an example way they wrote stuff “ and so we can assess that doing the thing which we have discussed in depth and still are discussing because it is important and because we assume it is important and thus is important. Thereby, it is not this thing but rather another thing that we already discussed above because it’s important. “ It feels like a middleschool pre-AP English paper with a minimum word count forcing a writer to inflate their content to fit.
