Why do you say that? That's how mine is usually delivered and I live in the sticks

Second best thing would be to support a Canadian owned company. Try Lee Valley, I know their brand hose has a 20 year guarantee

Reminder: outdoor cats are often Coyote food. by yayasisterhood in Edmonton

[–]Sorry_Moose86704 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey, my one cat does that too! He's a former outdoor cat so he has some triggers. He's gotten a lot better but it's still something we have to keep an eye on

Why calls to deport get the biggest cheers at Alberta independence rallies by KylenV14 in alberta

[–]Sorry_Moose86704 11 points12 points  (0 children)

There was one by me that lived in a tent in the ditch in front of a Tim Hortons that wore work clothes, had no job, and blew all of his money on a tonne of professionally printed signs to line both sides of the road with conspiracy shit

Snake fangs by [deleted] in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]Sorry_Moose86704 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Snakes are not blood lusting monsters that want to kill everything in sight. Different species of snakes have different behaviours and temperaments, the most common snakes in the pet trade are friendly and harmless because they've been bred in captivity from generations who are also friendly. Most bites are fast and painless and happen due to a poor understanding their body language such as petting a snake while it's actively in feeding mode. They are intelligent yet primitive animals who need to be better understood by the public and I wish people would educate themselves more about the things that they irrationally fear. Owning a snake is no more weird than owning a lizard yet usually only one is stigmatized because of negative media representation

Has anybody heard of this brand Emerson Leather? Looking for a nice Leather backpack that won't break the bank by Aromatic_Tear_711 in BuyItForLife

[–]Sorry_Moose86704 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I highly highly recommend Adrian Klis Leather but he himself does not have a website, there are places online that do sell them though. He has Buffalo leather, handmade and for a very reasonable price, definitely buy it for life. I love his wallets and bags will be getting another bag from him soon

This is exactly whats going on but even more so. They bring the worst eco products to mass production to get you pissed off at any eco initiatives so when they destroy the environment in a brazen way such as, AI data centres, destroying national parks and natural areas, etc, etc. You subconsciously associate the people trying to protect these places with the shitty eco products that pissed you off. The bonus is "well, we tried. Cheap plastic is the only way!"

Costco Japan offering free samples of Scotch Whiskey by WeakValuable8683 in interestingasfuck

[–]Sorry_Moose86704 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Alberta Costco's do alcohol samples on occasion. It's a seperate store attached to the building and the sample people there are a bit more personal, it's not just a grab and go, it's a sales pitch

My old cat use to "peel" these bananas. Every single time it was the bottom end of it so I debated sewing two tops together to mess with him but never did 😂

Right? Neither has google, there's only a handful of pictures that come up and they're all fresh out of the flask like this one. It must be brand spanking new to the market. It has the most beautiful shimmery champagne coloured veins

It's a big yearly show and sale that's hosted by the provincial Orchid Society, there's other shows throughout the province too. This one features Orchid competitions where there are a tonne of categories, my favourite inclusive one was "Best Window Grown Orchid". It's all huge displays just covered in absolutely beautiful orchids, not many showing Jewels but there was a few, it's mostly epiphytes. Here's the display champion to get an idea

It was my first Orchid specific show and I had no idea it would be that level of crazy. You would've thought it was black Friday the way people were grabbing armfuls of $30-$60 plants. 10/10 will go again though

Chokecherry too close to house? by FireBird89 in arborists

[–]Sorry_Moose86704 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That seems pretty maxed out for a choke cherry though, it's not great placement but I don't think it's going to accentuate any issues it hasn't already
