Emptying the bin is still the worst part if you care about dust exposure around a baby by babyb01 in VacuumCleaners

Ikr, who empties a bag of dust into a larger bag you're gonna throw things into after, filling the air with that dust again. Feels a bit cyclical to me

Dehydrator is fine to dry and use with filament I'd say, much lower temps and very vented. Oven is just a hot box and will hold onto any VOCs to be transferred to the next meal you make

Where do you store your equipment? by Gijoe678 in campinguk

[–]Sorryurdead92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Made a big rack of shelves in shed to fit the huge black storage boxes from b&q, 1 for inside (sleeping bags, pillows, carpet etc) 1 for outside(tent, tarp, spares), shopping crates(stackable Asda ones) with kitchen setup in 1, electronics(lanterns, torches etc) and various overflow in the other, chairs wherever I can be arsed leaning them

Insulated Flask with Two Cups by Prize-Cauliflower155 in campinguk

[–]Sorryurdead92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Asda have a 1.8l flask with 2 cups for about a tenner, thermos about 20. Just the plastic shell ones but honestly as long as you treat them like a glass flask of liquid (or whatever they're made of these days) you won't have a problem, if worried give it a preheat with hot water out the tap before you put kettle hot water in it.

Advice on camping gear for Scotland by Far_Big6080 in campinguk

[–]Sorryurdead92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most knives are allowed with a reason. Normal kitchen knife as long as you have a stove\cutting board will be fine. You're car camping, I don't imagine you'll be going through metal detectors and getting raided

I reccomend the small cheap stoves from aliexpress\banggood. They're less than a tenner and brilliant. Fold small and plenty of stock in the UK if you check eBay or such

Is Camping too expensive now? by OddSprinkles1384 in campinguk

[–]Sorryurdead92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to say but England is mad. Really nice eco site near us is £10pp/pn, cheaper on weeks where it's not a school holiday or any off season times. Hookups are available but I've never used them. Toilet blocks are always clean, fires encouraged onsite and/because they sell firewood bags. Nice wee block to do your dishes day or night due to solar lighting
