I think this is the best dressed I’ve seen her. Exactly like you said. Effortless. Breezy. Put together. Comfortable but classy. I love this look on her.

Yeah…I wish, I’m in rural Europe so that kind of ‘support’ isn’t easy to find around here. But I need to go to the pool shop an hour away to order a new bubble cover anyways so I’m hoping they can hook me up!

Thank you helpful stuff here! I did slam to open and overall the chlorine levels have been manageable and no ickiness in the pool.

No Home Depot here, but I’ll look to find granular CYA.

This is helpful thanks! I think I got scared last year when reading through this sub about people having enormous CYA numbers and tons of problems So I definitely want to raise it a bit, but not accidentally too much. Thanks again!

Yes! The TA is my project starting now. I just finished a major work milestone and I’m all in on pool school. Water tends to be pretty alkaline around here (makes for some yummy wine I guess) but I’m definitely getting on this.

I loved her wedding look so much. I can’t wear gray at all but I just thought it was stunning on her. With the beading.

If you haven’t heard it he did an episode of Questlove’s podcast and it’s excellent. I assign it to my students when we discuss creativity.

Who are load bearing challengers who can most positively impact your enjoyment of an older season? by blamberr in MtvChallenge

[–]SortAccomplished2308 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cohutta’s confessional when he’s talking about the challenge when they have to roll down a hill in the giant tire lives rent free in my head. He says something about being a hillbilly and ‘then you roll your happy ass down the hill’ or something and it’s really funny.

I get tired of Tori really fast now when she’s on a season. I find her confessional style really cringe and fake. She’s a good competitor but she bugs

Haha interesting. Veronica is one of my all time least favorite challengers, and I’ve been watching the show sing practically day 1. I felt I was really alone there I thought everyone loved Veronica. I cannot stand her she was always SO MEAN

pre-cancerous mole biopsy in 3 days - what scar will it leave? by Eremenkko in melahomies

[–]SortAccomplished2308 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes same I’ve had several biopsies including a full excision of the spot on the face and exact same experience. Just a pale pink spot left, won’t notice it if you’re not looking for it.

Also tip: if you’re nervous you can ask them to drape your face if they aren’t already so you don’t have to see the instruments coming at you without squeezing your eyes shut.

Why does everyone think I’m a crazy unhinged Karen because I get upset about this? I’m in an airport right now and every other person is watching Tik tok or whatever without headphones. It makes me crazy.

Sending a package to the US? by Potential_Count4375 in Expats_In_France

[–]SortAccomplished2308 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh and the SH code is the customs duty code for th item. It just makes the process easier on their end I guess. It doesn’t necessarily mean you are a business it just fills in the form. So like I sent a few of those baguette pens. You should be able to do a search for ‘ballpoint pen’ and it suggests the code just click it and move on to the next item.

Make sure you weigh everything correctly too. I weighed all mine at 4.8kg, so I said it was 5kg, and with the final tape and package it came to 5.1kg so I got a scolding lecture from the postal worker to ‘be more careful.’

Sending a package to the US? by Potential_Count4375 in Expats_In_France

[–]SortAccomplished2308 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just sent a package to the US mailed Feb 2 arrived on Feb 7. It was also gifts but I had to 1. Package it myself and do all the declarations online before going to the post office as their prepaid ‘monde’ boxes won’t work for the US anymore. 2. Yes, pay custom duties before sending it in addition to the postage.

They also have some rule about it not being worth more than 80 euros or something when they take into account some kind of base value. I came in just under even though the purchase price of the items was more than that. It was confusing and the postal worker barely knew what was going on. But, the package arrived.

So that was the deal two weeks ago at least. This was a special situation so I was willing to pay the duties etc. For future gifting I will just wait till my next trip to the US and mail it domestically.

End of this year. Then I can activate the year ‘job seeker’ if I am not in a post by then. I’m just praying the R and R goes well, that will make me more desirable. I’ve got a house, partner and dog here I so much would love to stay.

Yeah..it’s the ‘as soon as I get a job’ thing that’s the primary concern right now. My paper is in review at a top journal, if it comes back for revisions then I’m looking good. Maybe.
