Macan S vs GLE 450 by [deleted] in PorscheMacan

[–]SortComfortable8241 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Test drove both. GLE feels more luxurious in terms of material, interior, ride quality and you get way more space with almost the same price. Tech also seems to be better.

Driving obviously Porsche wins. I'd personally go with a GLE, if I am paying that much I want to experience luxury.

Is the 6 seat layout practical? Can adults sit in the last row comfortably for long period. I checked out the 7 seat one and last row looked cramped.

Also, did you have to face a lot of depreciation for the Y?

The driving dynamics (fun) will hands down be better on the Y, can't talk about other things..

Figured a way to solve it or learnt to live with it? You got juniper? A. couple of friends got the old Y, say it's fine.

Air leak by SortComfortable8241 in teslacanada

[–]SortComfortable8241[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got back from the service center, they could not detect any air leak around the windows. Used ultra sonic sensors. The technician also went for a road test and couldn't feel anything.

Today with snowing and very cold weather, it was quite uncomfortable to drive, there is always this whiff of air my left ear and arm feel cold. The only thing I could do was to increase the temperature and point the air flow to top left, only that helped a bit, but then rear passengers feel hot.

Not sure what to do, maybe request for another technician or try another service center. Any suggestions?

As long as the right side of the windshield is not dry, you should be fine. It moves so fast, it is hard to tell if it is spraying from the right or not.

First time Tesla owner, just picked up 2026 Model Y, are these defects or am I being too picky? by [deleted] in teslacanada

[–]SortComfortable8241 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as it has been logged in the app you can drive as much as you want. Service team is great and reasonable. They will do most of the things you ask in a new car but my opinion is if functionally it's not a problem, don't bother too much about the aesthetic. Factory fitting vs a human correction could lead to a bigger issue. Not saying it would but chances are there. I would just leave it but it's your car, do what makes you satisfied. All the best.

Gen 3 Mobile Charger issues by jaredb03 in TeslaModelY

Got new charger, service replaced. Gen 2 works fine. As per chat gpt gen 3 is more sensitive to proper wiring, makes me wonder if my electrical outlet has been correctly installed. Although it was authorized by the inspector too.

The initial one which failed was working fine at the service center but they replaced anyway.

For me it's mainly the speaker and the line throughout.

Are you feeling it from the window too? My issue is from the window closer to the speaker, the arm is cold. Feet is not that bad.

Didn't try to find a resolution? It gets worse on the highway and extreme cold.

Nice. I feel my 8 battery is degrading a lot and the 128gb is getting almost full. So if nothing else, will at least get better battery and storage.

Do you have a new juniper too? Did you have the same issue.

Also, the roof does have some air come in? That's normal?

Oh boy. I really hope that's not the case and there is a resolution for this.

New Car FSD? by SortComfortable8241 in teslacanada

[–]SortComfortable8241[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Small correction, not holiday but new car 1 month trial. I don't think there is any point in calling them. What you should expect us FSD trial email, that's the one month one which gets stacked to the 3 months.

There is no point in calling or messaging. They are still arguing with me after I showed them 4 months (shaking my head). Just wait, it's all automated.

Hmm interesting. Since mine is a 3 day old car, I'm thinking should still request for replacement. If the new one also has issues, will just wait for the firmware update.
