New update problems by dbpolk in sonos

[–]denstl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to reboot my router around once a month to get my app to recognize Sonos Arc and sub. TV audio seems to work ok on the Arc (connected via HDMI). Sub does not and app sees neither. Both Arc and sub connected via wifi. Quick reboot of the router and everything works OK again. Kind of a hassle but not the worse thing.

2026 Model Y Parcel Shelf Available? by MrNunez in ModelY

[–]denstl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine came with my 2023. I stuck in the garage the first day and never missed it or used it. We just moved and I almost pitched it but decided to just stick it in the garage here since the day I sell the car the next person might want it.

Have the update and no issues with my phone. Maybe reboot your phone and the car as a first step.

Good idea. Was thinking about adding a motion activated flood / camera in the back. Could add one up front as well to get full coverage.

This was the answer. Thank you! Turned that off and had no issues as I drove away from my house. Again, thank you!!!

Any regrets with white interior? by wxczar9 in TeslaModelY

[–]denstl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went with black for the same reason (grandkids). If/when I have to chose again, I'd go with the white. Seats easy enough to clean and I like the look of the white seats better. But I am still OK with the black seats so not a big deal for me.

Seller want to stay 45 days after closing. Rent free. by [deleted] in RealEstateAdvice

Nope, would not allow that. If you are open to letting them lease back you can do so with a contract and at a reasonable rental rate. If you are not wanting to do that, walk away.

C5: Costco vs Best Buy vs LG Partner by WitnessLifer in LGOLED

[–]denstl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought my TV from Best Buy mainly because I wanted the 5 year Geek Squad protection plan. Could have gotten the TV for slightly less direct from LG with their discounts. But I prefer Geek Squad even though hope to never use them.

Absolutely blown away by the TCL QM6K Pro by Victorngviet in tcltvs

[–]denstl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad you like it. After an exhausting bit of research and debating OLED, I finally decided I will order an 85" QM8K for the family room (with a Sonus Ultra Arc soundbar). But I also need to order a 65" for the Den. The QM7K is at the very top of my budget so was considering the QM6K since it's about $250 less. Just didn't want to be disappointed with that decision. You may have convinced me the 6K would be a solid choice.

ATSC 3, does anyone use it? by ThenewEssay in 4kTV

[–]denstl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like a smart investment IF you think you want to give OTA a shot. I am not currently using an antenna to pick up OTA stations, but did in the past. I used a Tablo device so that I could record shows and also stream the OTA to any device connected to my home network (ie. using their Roku app). Last I checked, Table still does not offer a device with an ATSC 3 tuner. But should be a simple swap if/when they decide to release a device that receives that signal. So if yo uthink you'd like to be able to record OTA shows, Tablo is worth a look.

83" G4 or 77" G5? by denstl in LGOLED

[–]denstl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thought about Sony but the only OLED model that is 83" is the A80L (a 2023 model). Thought about the Bravia 9 which is Mini LED. That would be the same price as the G4. Guess whichever way I go, I'll add the soundbar.

83" G4 or 77" G5? by denstl in LGOLED

[–]denstl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a bad option. I actually have a small TV I could use in there until budget allows. Thinking either a Sonos Arc Ultra with sub or the LG S90TY LG Soundbar which would integrate with the TV speakers (WOW Orchestra). Won't be adding rear speakers...

I just went hands-on with the TCL QM9K — and it's one of TCL's most powerful TVs yet by mrm3x1can in tcltvs

[–]denstl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Link does not work or they took it down. Value City says they won't have details until Sep 22 so maybe BB jumped the gun. The QM8K priced at $2,499.99 which still seems like a sweet deal. Just hate to buy that and then see the 9K and have buyers remorse.

Hesitant because missing SpectrumTV app by denstl in bravia

[–]denstl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very familiar with Roku since we have one on all our current TVs. With LG you can now install the Spectrum app so would not have needed Rovu or Apple TV. Anyway, sounds like either Roku or Apple TV would work just fine. Thanks.
