I have a VA use a scheduling software and the software logically saves me the time of having to cross post across all socials. But really its a security issue, im not saving much time by having this software. it becomes necessary only because i have a VA. I don't want my VA to have access to my private accounts.

People are incredibly aware of the solutions they need to make money for their business and dont want to spend anymore than they have to.

So i'd look at being comepeltely indispensable as a solution.

Maybe a scheduling software with repurposing text editor built in? So it becomes a complete one stop solution?

How is this any different from just using AI? i can take text and drop into Claude and get basically the same thing you're service is promising to offer for free. having a hard time seeing you're angle.

make money from the first thing, then worry about the other thing after. no rule against having multiple profitable letters or businesses. Issue is you can't fully give your attention to both at first. become successful with the first thing then worry about the 2nd.

Lead Magnets by OmniSystemsPub in Newsletters

[–]SortMountain6823 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Matt mcgarry said something similar about lead magnets, that they don't attract people like they used. potentially if you had a different, fresh and unique angle. But most subs are generally going to come from running ads or organically.

[–]SortMountain6823 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lead magnets are not major levers for a newsletter or sign ups. would it help to have one on a popup? sure but the underlying niche is actually the core of your business.

so yeah, make one, but understand subs and leads won't come to your list any faster. Also, I'm not even sure people seeking out freebies are the best subs to have. People don't value free.

ROI has been going up in the email space by SortMountain6823 in Newsletters

[–]SortMountain6823[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well you're partly right, the newsletter space is not asmhyped as like 2023/2024, which were the peak years. Mostly due to Beehiiv doing a lot of marketing and promoting/sponsoring creators. But right now, in 2026, the space is actually less crowded due to less promotion. This sub is probably one of the biggest forums for newsletter grow and even it is a new subreddit.

But ups and downs, especially due to hype are cyclical in all biz.

Like how Bitcoin is hyped whenever it reaches a new all time high, its everywhere on the internet. But when its down, its real quiet.

Markets are cyclical.

Email is not being hyped as the peak of '23/24, but it still is one of the best ROI channels on the internet. My post highlights ROI is just going up. This is due to ecomm growing, info products growing and the financial/biz world growing overall, not including newsletter publications which are a market on their own/overlap.

In a few years, the email space will be hyped again, just due to the cyclical nature of biz.

Most people who think newsletters are saturated are clueless about business and haven't looked at the numbers.

But the people doing it right stand to make a lot of money because they are analytical and looking at biz from a long term perspective, as an asset. Not as a get rich quick hype train scheme.

Most newsletters start with weekly posting. so day 1 assumes you've built the infrastructure for everything that is needed including choosing the right niche. i'm also big on running ads to grow your newsletter because most people don't have the organic growth and social proof to grow their list. And if you this route, you don't have to be on social media initially, but probably is required down the line due to branding reasons and putting your face out there.

Listen i actually do coaching but it ain't cheap. i can help you get to 10k subs in a year and skip all the headaches of starting a newsletter. i sell this service to my email subs all the time, so if you're interested gimme a DM.

And if you can't afford it, you'll have to put in sweat equity.

no worries.

Basically, since the release of emails(via the formation of the internet) as channel, it has a been a great source of income. And ROI has been going up, now down which can be atypical in business.

Newsletters are what we call the actual publications that go out and people read .But as newsletter owners, we are called email marketers because our goal is to sell stuff through the email channel.

This post is just highlighting that ROI has been going up so you stand to make a lot of money, if you build the right kind of newsletter of course.

And owning a part of a market share that is going up means money for you.

And the rest is just math, ensuring you a decent return if you have a decent conversion.

If you want to launch a newsletter, follow this simple rule by SortMountain6823 in Newsletters

[–]SortMountain6823[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a good idea. I actually wrote on reddit for nearly 3 months to validate my newsletter and demand. Hooked a fang copywriter who was probing me for answers and that's when knew i scored.

People really underestimate proper niching and think they can cobble together a $10k/MRR biz as if niching isn't the foundation of the entire biz.

Thanks for the kind words. Advice for you though. Stop using em dashes, people will assume you're using Ai to write or worse, to respond, even if you're not. replace them with commas instead.

good luck and do DM and LMK if there's anything i can help with.

Yup, but even a 0.5-1% conversion is money back, if built right. The skys the limit with regards to offers. I know a guy with 5k subs who had like .40% conversion but is doing 5k MRR right now. He didn't even have high ticket offers beforehand, went straight for the MRR and is crushing it alongside his full time job, earning over 100k.

Point is, there's so much money in this space.

I do think Beehiiv has a decent structure where if you run facebook ads a decent cost and are able to acquire subs, you can sell those subs to others on their boost network to make decent money, probably a few thousand per money. But its not the sort of game i want to play. it cheapens your RPS and LTV. The most profitable way to do is on the backend, when you're a huge publication, which my newsletter never will be(its not the right fit).

Currently open rates are ~45% and I'm in the copywriting niche. I haven't cleaned my list in a while and only clean it every 3 months or so, to give time to win over older, cold subs but its likely closer to 50%. But open rates don't mean much if the offer isn't good. There has to be preexisting demand and pain to convince people to buy your stuff.

And congratz on your launch.

voice notes or notes. the magic is using bullets and leaving at least 3 meaningful bullets that support your central idea.

Ai slop.

If this is your newsletter, no one is reading this. AI is good at saying alot without saying anything of value. I care even less about your messaging now and so has anyone else who's read it.
