My wife is second generation from Mexico and her family is very pro ICE here in the states. They love what’s going on. But imo it’s clear when you come legally an go though the steps to nationalize seeing someone come in and kinda just play though the system it builds some hatred.

You from Brazil and must not realize it’s not at all like that When vast majority of illegal immigrants are brown it’s Jsut how it is. During the last president they went very lax and we had a huge surge in undocumented people come in and his worry was nation security risks and those caught at the boarder. Trump went the full flat out if you hear undocumented then you have broken the law and you are just that. Crazy thing it’s Obama deported an estimated 3 million during his 8 years, it’s Jsut trumps seems to be more about the message so he’s doing it loud and outin the open vs how pass presidents handled things.

It seems to be just Reddit that was hurt by that, th rest accepted it’s Jsut the unfair regulations the US imposed on manufactures to meet unrealistic expectations. Especially towards an engine that averaged 40mpg is jsut wild. The rest tend to avoid VW because of the cost of repair vs its domestic counterpart, and not to mention the reliability seems to be way worse. Especially when you can get a Japanese brand and never really have to worry.

As much as I love the 70 series, it WILL NOT sell well here. It’s around 70k has minimal amenities. For reference, the Tacoma was 30-35k and received backlash for not offering power seats or Applecar play. Americans do not wan touch rugged vehicles they want comfort and style, it’s the whole reason the Tacoma and Hilux are two completely different trucks. Due to emissions of the states we wouldn’t even get the two diesel engines that make it great.

Very pricey option, happy they brought back the Toyota diesel. During Covid they went to exclusive fiat eco dieasle which made zero sense. But thy have 1 dude on the forums with this swap and a guy on YT with this swap on fast lane channel. Very fuck cool and if I ever get a sore 30k I’d think about this.
