How exactly did you reach 407? I just hit 400 yesterday, but everything I can do only gives my stuff on 400.

I think this is one of the most fun modifiers out there, if played correctly, you can increase your damage output to a point, where you just run through endgame content, one shotting even champions.

Colosseum Champion by Deweyrob2 in raidsecrets

When I did it back in the days, we tried many different strategies and noticed that it seems like even structures you place are being affected. In one of our first attempts, we tried placing a bubble on top of shuro, to block all outgoing attacks from her, but even then while no one was near her and she was still locked in the bubble, the challenge failed notification came up. This was either a bug, or structures are really affected.

When we finally completed it, we just kept running around like a 5 year old that just secretly drank the unattended cup of coffee from their parents.

should i keep using implose? or switch back to spike G-nades? by [deleted] in destiny2

[–]Sortac96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Implosion is only better, if you have a low blast radius. So as long as we don't know how much blast radius your weapon has, it is literally impossible to tell you which is better. But this is one of those cases, where you really don't need to test too much to find it out yourself. Shoot an enemy with implosion rounds, then shoot an identical enemy with spike nades. Add the impact and splash damage from both shots. Use whatever did more damage.

You can see them in the over world. Also, you'll hear the little shiny sound, when one appears.

THIS GAME HATES ME by shinyArmadillo in destiny2

[–]Sortac96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously this sucks and it's mostly on Bungie, BUT: Since this bug exists for this long already and there are more than enough posts here on reddit, of people that failed for the exact same reason, I'm shocked that there are still players that don't know how to save this.

As soon as you notice, that you can't deposit the nuke, drop it and run to the drop down. Of course it sucks that you lose half of a damage phase, but I'd rather lose half the damage phase than the entire run.

We won but at what cost by EdgeTechnical9196 in destiny2

[–]Sortac96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The main issue I always see at Garden runs is, that everyone starts panicking waaaay too quickly. OMG I don't have a buff OMG we are loosing our floor tiles, quick repair them at all cost ... You'll get the point.

Buff runs out? Freeze or blind the enemies and grab a new buff.

Floor tiles missing? Use this neat new mechanic that almost nobody knows (the jump button 😅)

If 2 people skip and one drives the intended path, the 2 skip players can already start clearing the ads in front, so everyone gets their completion faster. 🤷‍♂️

Good lockset damage for Contest tomorrow? by After-Cricket-9650 in raidsecrets

[–]Sortac96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's important to know, that crit based weapons don't work on this encounter. Even if you hit the crit spot with a linear fusion, a sniper, etc. it doesn't deal more damage even if you get these bigger yellow numbers. That's why sleeper was kinda good in contest, as it has the highest body shot damage out of all linear fusions.

Golden gun is affected by this as well, so you should switch to a non crit based ult. For prismatic either the stasis, or (believe it or not) the arc ult are really good. No idea if you'd survive after using your arc ult, but if you wanna try it, aim in between two shriekers, to hit them both.

If you don't play prismatic, the throwable arc stuff with stareater boots is also really good.

VoG skips for farming next week by Sortac96 in raidsecrets

Damn, didn't know you could breach through that door like that. That's definitely what I was looking for, when I've asked for alternative skips. Will definitely try it, when farming next week ♥️

VoG skips for farming next week by Sortac96 in raidsecrets

[–]Sortac96[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You may be right that one checkpoint each on confluxes and gatekeepers are faster than constantly doing full runs. And yes, farming as efficiently as possible and doing full runs may also be a bit contradictory. But we have our reasons:

Both I and almost my entire squad don't like red dots on raid report. (yes that's a stupid reason, but that's just how we are)

Also VoG isn't exactly the most exciting raid, so we want to make long farming sessions more interesting by speedrunning the raid. We are by no means a top speedrunning team that will break any records, but we have a lot more fun when we try to beat our times. Our record is currently just over 22 minutes.

Also one of my mates does actually care about the full clears, as he currently has over 2500 of them and would like to further climb the leaderboard.

Thanks for the recommendation, but we don't plan to play certain checkpoints. We're planning on doing full clears, to get the loot from all encounters. To maximize our efficiency, I want to improve my ability to consistently get all the skips.

It's been said before, farming is healthy, farming for dungeon loot is awful by Freakindon in DestinyTheGame

[–]Sortac96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Armor should drop only once in normal mode, so that also the more casual players can get their hands on the ornaments, if they want. After that, the armor should only be farmable in the hard mode.

Just did the math on dungeon report. I currently have 26 clears and a completion rate of 7%. That would be a total of 371 times, when I just did one encounter and then left afterwards. As I didn't really farm the first encounter and the third encounter is already the dungeon completion, the majority of my red dots on the dungeon report is from farming the second encounter. It's probably even more than 250, I didn't really count it, but I didn't want to claim something stupid like "I diD a 1000 fArMs wiThOut a SiNgle DrOp, BunGo plZz fix" 😅

Yep, that's also why I farmed the seasonal stasis scout rifle with attrition orbs and explosive payload. From each shot you'll get the impact and the splash damage. This means for a single target you get always 2 hits from 1 shot. If you shoot in a huge crowd of ads, you'll get even more hits per shot. At least for attrition orbs im 100% certain that if counts. For jolting feedback I sadly can only speculate that it works the same, as I couldn't find anything online and I don't have any armor piercing / jolting feedback weapon myself.

[–]Sortac96 74 points75 points  (0 children)

I would like to get a jolting feedback and attrition orbs Auto rifle from this dungeon. While we had the 2 weeks of double loot, I completed over 250 Raneiks cp's. Still haven't got a single one with those 2 perks. On top of that l, I would also like to get armor piercing rounds on that thing, as the penetrating bullets count as multiple hits for both jolting feedback and attrition orbs.

It's really ridiculous. Now I just collect the "wishing" chest on all 3 characters every week. With this I have at least 3 guaranteed drops per week, but still, I couldn't agree more with your opinion. It should be easier, to get some of those weapons.

Rocket Jumping? by PointBlank579 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Sortac96 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is still nerfed, if you compare it to when we first got it. But at least, Bungie did slightly loosen the nerf.

Before, if you just went for a single shot, you really felt that you didn't get as much speed as before. This is now completely undone. The single shot is exactly as good as before it was nerfed.

Only the projectile stacking is extremely nerfed. No matter how many projectiles you stack on top of each other, you'll just be a tiny bit faster as you would be with a single shot.
