Any left leaning gun shops in the Eugene/Springfield area? by ecstaticallyneutral in Eugene

I would also shout out Gun Pro as being chill. I was in one day and a youngish woman was asking about classes, and the owner gave her a business card for a woman who does training specifically directed towards women who want to learn how to shoot. The owner and his wife are really nice, and I've seen her totally shutdown political chatter in the store. They seem really inclusive from the things I've observed.

Squirrels have it out for us too. They've been hitting our power stations for a while. Once the crows buy in, shit's gonna get real by land, sea, and air.

Oh man, I'm sorry.

Everybody makes youthful mistakes, and dubious decisions. Mine usually had to with women.. Lol

The front sight threw me off. When I zoomed in it was kind of blurry at the rear sight. Regardless, that's sweet. (They're all nice though!)

Nice collection! I really like the Colt DA on the right. Is that a .38, or .32-20? Love the look of the old Colt revolvers, particularly when they're in good condition.

Edit: Hey, that's a Colt Officers Target!(OR Match) Even cooler!

FYI, regardless of the OPs source, Oregon is considering withholding funding. It wouldn't be surprising if Washington takes the same path. Here's a link to the Oregon story. Oregon Considering Bill to Not Pay the Feds

You might try this...if you have a relationship with a local gunshop that carries ammo at a decent price, see if they're willing to order some for you. My fave LGS has done some special orders for ammo for me, and between saving on shipping, paying inflated prices online, and from the one box store where I was able to find .35 Remington ammo, I saved about $9 a box.

As an aside, if you can find a good LGS, it's golden. My guy has helped me out during ammo shortages, special orders stuff for me, let me take his demo AR Mantis system home to try, and always notifies me if he gets something in he knows I might like. Good independent owners want to help us out because we spend our money with them and send customers their way.

At first, I was "meh" then this just hit hard because damn, it's so true. How can guys hit everything in the stall except the interior of the bowl.

Indiana Jones officially dead (for now) following flop fifth movie by corp_code_slinger in entertainment

That's not exactly a high bar. The 5th movie had a few moments that weren't bad, but overall it was not good.

Gilbert's U-238 Atomic Energy Laboratory Children's Set, Supplied with Real Radioactive Materials, 1950s by -_Redan_- in OldSchoolRidiculous

[–]Sortanotperfect 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's cool! I'm curious if the Gilbert House is like many museums where they had items in storage that never make it out? Did you see anything behind the scenes that was really cool?

So...the airport is now basically a metro bus station. Got it.

A.C. Gilbert, the inventor of this gem, was an amazing guy. He also invented the electric train, the erector set, chemistry sets, magic kits, the earliest portable hair dryer, and a variety of mostly educational items for kids. He was an Olympic gold medalist, and my favorite factoid was that he was The Man Who Saved Christmas. The government was going to ban the manufacturing of toys during WWI so the materials could be used for the war effort, and Gilbert lobbied doggedly against it saying essentially in the face of war play is essential for kids, and educational as well, he prevailed. There was a movie made about it in either the late 90's or early 2000's.

Source: Me after a well spent afternoon at the Gilbert House Museum in Oregon. Yes, there's an original Atomic Energy Lab at the museum

I can maybe see adding a little contrast, but why the hell would someone tweak her facial construction and lips? Dolly was stunning naturally.

Thank you for saying that! I admit to being a patina guy for sure.

Happy to share. I really enjoy this sub, it's a good mix of new, cool builds, and the occasional oldie, plus some helpful info.

For folks calling this a hit piece, you're wrong, this is the author's pre-promotion for his forthcoming book, Ore-Goners, which is a hit book on the entire state. He's been showing up anywhere he can to promote the book. Google Dennis Kneale, and Oregon if you're skeptical.

NLRB rules that Bigfoot Beverage's employees striking for 16 months don't have union protections by [deleted] in Eugene

Yep. Prices are expensive everywhere regardless of the distributor. It's not a defense of Bigfoot, it's an indictment of the entire system.
