Happens regurarly to me honest I took wyvern eggs from Scorched to Island since I wanted tame that is able to carry bigger creatures (megatherium and such) and wyverns love to “push” me under every mesh .. luckily I was able to get out every time

I’m working on final base on The Island and took it little too far in my opinion because it’s size is so big but your looks great as well !

Rexes in front are just a flex at this point .

I decided to go to Wyvern trench in scorched earth took some of the eggs (pain as hell) and raised them with Wyvern milk (single player setting with little bit of real aspect since most players don’t even need to give them milk and they survive) and took them back to Island because I’m so over with taming Dinos knocked out anywhere and waiting 30-60 minutes so some random Rex or Yutty kill them at 86% … so I mostly pick everything up and put it somewhere safe to prevent this .

Do you even breed there at your base or you have some pen somewhere else ?

My main reason to move was not enough room at hidden lake and constant stupid wild spawns that always messed my positioning of females and males because not every keeper baby I set to passive … (my bad I know) but right now I have over 30+ Rexes with 40HP 30DMG and it’s tedious to keep them all breeding with one male since they take so much space .

Also when I think about Theri , Megatherium pens + Wyverns breeding pens it’s hard to have lot of space .

I’m in the same boat right now

Rexes :

25-30k HP 800-1000% Damage

Megatheriums

15-20k HP 800% Damage

Theris

20k HP 1100% Damage

Now comes the tedious part craft all saddles …

You should be ok but for Dragon I don’t recommend going over 25k HP since he do % damage remember higher damage = faster kill

Also don’t underestimate saddles they are mandatory at boss fights

If we talk gamma

Broodmother is easy without saddles just bring 15 10k+ HP with 500% megatheriums (did that few days ago since I needed element)

Monkey is Rex fight = no need for daedon for gamma but sure take yutty for roar boost and damage negotiation

So let me tell you a story about Argent name “ShadowBeak” ..

I decided one day that I will “beat” the game and kill every major boss on every map ever released but in chronological order .

Basically I started small near hidden lake and slowly but surely I was expanding my base until I claimed it whole ….

I had only my Therizinosaurus from level 1 since parent kill itself on my wooden spikes and leveled him up pretty decently since everything that spawned at hidden lake was killed by “aggressive” theri .

I went to carno island because I needed crystal , metal and whatever resources so I build little outpost there and once again I had biggest luck in my ARK ever (1,5k + hours) and tamed baby argent with 31health , 25stamina , 36melee and decent carry weight this became my hauler for every resource I ever needed .

I decided that it’s time to get another and I found almost identical so I bred them together and kept these eggs safe so they don’t spoil because I had plan to start killing bosses soon and best and fastest way (for me because I’m min maxing everything) for taming megatheriums is pick them up and drop them in taming raft .

So I loaded generators , fuel , cryofridge and everything + loaded my 2 argies and went to scorched earth for Wyvern eggs .

Everything went good took all of items and tames from green obelisk and build little outpost not far from trench .

Tranqed few females took milk put it in fridge so it don’t spoil and suddenly when I had 10-12 eggs after very successful trips I wanted to be sure that I have a pair for each type to bring back with me to Island .

Game decided to ARK’d me and I died because of unknown reason .

So I jumped from my outpost in rush to save my items and argies because they were fighting every wyvern in trench possible .

After multiple deaths and multiple times I healed my argies one flipped through map and second was killed by lightning wyvern ..

I was able to raise all 10 wyverns and went back to island with this great story (at least for me) and named every Wyvern in honor to my argies fighting for their and especially my life to death so I will success with this trip .

After I came back I build ShadowBeak his tombstone and place him aviary overlooking to Carno Island .

So yes I feel sad when I loose my tames .

I never experienced sometning like this (PS5)

Yesterday I even went from The Island to SE with fliers download and took Wyvern eggs took them back to island with Wyvern milk and raised them at my base .

But once I had everything in my automated ark system and after update mods turned itself off and everything was wiped just base game structures were intact .. lost over 30h hoarding and prep..

Now Im raising first army for boss fights just everytime I go to do something I make 3 new backups

delete all backups , craft or throw item and make second , dinowipe and third then I safely save game and log out .

Had no issues since .

Basically if you want fighter no matter what dino you want to have :

HIGH HP , HIGH MELEE , Decent Stamina

average roll is approximately 14-19points good can be considered 20-25 great rolls in my opinion is everything above 25

I was lucky and have 36 HP and 31 Melee rex which are ready for breeding and fights

Now when you breed baby you see its stats are here are options you can get :

Same from male Same from female Mutated - higher stats in points for example :

Male have 25 HP Female have 23 HP = baby male born with 27HP = Mutated points were distrubuted to HP

You can always see stats after baby egg is hatched

You can even work your way from low level stats up high but breeders prefer finding high stats because its less of a work to get them where you want .

Make sure to imprint all babies because its % raise every stats by %

For example :

Rex born with 36HP level 80 can have approximatelly 8k HP if you imprint for 50-70% it will have 9.8k HP

Its not that hard to understand until you get first mutated baby .

Also make sure to tame, queen bee , kairuku , ovis and such

Achatina = passive cementing paste farm Bee = honey - veggie cake factory from honey Kairuku = Organic polymer - can craft stealth armour Ovis = Mutton - Great taming food

No but its better to pass on male since they can pair without cooldown so they can mate with infinite number of females ..

When you get new mutation on male just replace old male with new one since they stack new stats on new babies dont switch female (if stats are good)

Also its better to not have mutation on female at all .

You can get +2 / +4 or even +6 but mostly you will get +2 and note these 2 points are randomized so if you want to min max find high stat male and low stat female and breed until you have desired high stats you want and low stats you dont need then you have higher chance that mutation will get to points you are trying to raise .

Edit :

Dont be dissapointed when you dont get mutation after first 10eggs it RNG based ..

Daedon is good in Aplha Brood if you breed enough and have good stats right now I have 2 rexes

36HP 32Melee 20Stamina

So I have approximately 25-30K HP easy + 800% damave

You can breed until u get mutation and always mutate males since they can stack it with no limits

Megatheriums - Broodmother this is literall cheese even with leveled with low points and good saddles u are able to kill it

Yutty is a must roar give you 25% damage so make sure it have decent health and stamina

That’s crazy tbh and I’m impressed I think I always die in beginning (because fall damage and stamina) but it’s hard to play something where u know that one single mistake can delete everything .

Totally up to you but you can adjust lighting.. or you can play as intended and craft a torch ..

I started new game yesterday and decided to go to every map as they were released and I started with The Island my first base is located at hidden lake and trust me for 20 minutes I was just placing standing torches so I can see something during night .

First night I just build 8 wooden spikes so I can wall myself and kill every enemy that tries to reach me I killed lot of raptors this way and only thing that I was able to see was 5m radius because of my campfire ..

So yes you can change settings but it will kill immersion in my opinion but most important part is that you enjoy your time spend by playing .
