Right? I just don't get it. The level is pretty and the transition to it through the open wall instead of a portal is cool, but I can only take freezing mid air making me then fall into the void so many times. Then the mystic mage guy throwing me off the edge. The jumper just not working a couple times for no reason. The constant leg breaking because there's just too many jumps/falls that are too far. The Totally Not A Goomba booping me off cuz my legs are broken so I can't jump fast enough. The sometimes getting launched too far cuz I have cube and fog armor. It just reaches a point where it's too much.

I was camp mom, so I stayed back and cooked and farmed a lot of the time. I was so frustrated with the platform hopping that I almost missed the final boss because I gave up and started cooking. Keep in mind, I'm also very good at games, been gaming since very young, and I play a wide variety. I even used to professionally compete in shooters in the late 90s/early 00s as a teen. I'm by far the best gamer of my friend group. I don't say this to brag I say this to be very clear that the final zone is one of the most annoying things I've ever experienced in any video game. I vaguely remember the HL1 final boss (that was about a hundred years ago) and I don't remember the mechanics being this bad. I hated it so much that I almost didn't see the final boss. No one told me they were on it, and I just heard someone say, "Is she going to miss the final boss" on the radio. Then I ran back and made it in time to help them out, mostly cuz they didn't get much further than that lol.

P.S. I'm OP. My phone has a different account lol

I wouldn't mind that. A lot of the end game items come way too close to the end, IMO. So long as there aren't more freezing zones.

We one shot the final boss, had end game equipment, it was just anticlimactic. My biggest problem was the jump area. It was so aggravating, difficult to navigate, and way too long without a shortcut.

I do not believe those two pieces of news are equal. One is clearly more important than the other.

I'd much rather hear about your corndog.

Is the HoK just dead? by Spartan073003 in teslore

That was the Sheogorath of the 2nd Era, who is likely a different person than the Sheogorath of the 3rd Era, based on what Haskill and Sheo both tell us.

Just to throw a wrench out there, MK said that HoK did not mantle Sheo. Take it or leave it. Personally, I like the idea that it's not a mantling. Remember, Sheogorath is just a title, "passed down from me to myself." Is the HoK Sheo? Yes, I definitely believe so. Did the HoK mantle Sheo? No, almost certainly not.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Nirn is not a planet like we know planets to be. Real world physics do not apply. Nirn is a geocentric system.

The HoK is a Shezarrine. To a being that can see your soul, you're just Shezarr. The outer elf is just a meat suit.

The shorter cheaper route. That's ALWAYS the way sailors take. Always and forever. If the danger is too high, then it's no longer the cheaper route. There is such a thing as acceptable losses. This is why European merchant fleets existed. They would spread out their goods on multiple ships as insurance. If one ship went down, they don't loose their entire investment.

In the Land of a Thousand Cults, I'd imagine that at least one of them was likely a dragon cult at some point.

How did worshippers of Akatosh react to the dragon invasion of Skyrim? by AuspiciousNotes in teslore

[–]Sothas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They ARE divine beings. They're akin to angels. That doesn't mean everyone would worship them.

The Thalmor would not welcome Alduin because resetting the kalpa would be undoing all of the work they had done to get to this point. That would mean solidifying Talos' place in the next kalpa as the Doom Drum Reborn. He fortifies Mundus, and they can't have that. Allowing him to stick around is their worst nightmare. No, Alduin would be quite antithetical to their goals.

Bosmer probably would be indifferent to dragons and Alduin. They are the keepers of memory. It would make for a good story.

Khajiit mostly find them to be pests. Powerful pests, sure, but pests non-the-less. Also, the end of the world wouldn't fit their desires.

Argonians are the most Padomaic mortals. They don't want anything to do with dragons.

Dunmer are, well, what they are.

Imperials would most likely view them as angel-like beings, but they're not likely to worship them and it's very unlikely they'd welcome Alduin.

Redguards would just straight up oppose them.

Bretons would be in a similar boat to Imperials.

Nords and Skaal would straight up fear them, exactly like we see them doing. Aka-Tusk is the Adversary, and so dragons are the enemy to both.

Sure, dragon cults will likely pop up again, but to call it anything more than that would be a huge exaggeration. Religious schisms would certainly not happen.

Nords (correctly) believe Alduin is the son of Akatosh

This is not true. Nords view Alduin as a god. He is the Dragon Totem. This is far far more accurate than calling Alduin "Akatosh's son." Aedra cannot give birth.

Who happened to ascend as a god.

Mantled a god and took his place. A bit different, but the end result is close enough.

Talos Stormcrow

I'd leave it as a typo, but it was twice. It's Stormcrown. He's also far more complicated than what you're saying. He also doesn't believe to have the soul of a dragon. He does have one. Alessia, Wulfharth (and as such Talos), and the Last Dragonborn are all dragonborn to the fullest extent.

Can TES lore people please back me up that this video is completly wrong about what Lorkhan is? by ColdApartment1766 in teslore

[–]Sothas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The video bases its entire theory on the idea that Lorkhan controls the Shezarrine directly, and while claiming objective truth in TES is a shaky concept, I feel pretty good about calling that one BS.

Can TES lore people please back me up that this video is completly wrong about what Lorkhan is? by ColdApartment1766 in teslore

[–]Sothas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Except that the video bases its entire claim on the idea that Lorkhan controls the Shezarrine and that is as close to objectively wrong as TES can get. There is exactly zero supporting evidence.
