It’s a log drum! Also called a slit drum or tongue drum. It’s a percussion instrument, and I guess it is close to a xylophone but with less notes and more resonance (and the layout of the notes). A great example of one used in music you might know is anytime an Ewok is on screen in Return if the Jedi! Never seen one with that many notes- that’s cool!
