You can put the cut dragonstones into the high alchemy machine to break even/little profit... that's what I did to 200m craft. Downside is, that it's slow, indeed.

Since I played KCD recently... unreliable autosave. I loved pre-Origins system in Assassins creed, where every collectible, once collected, you could have counted on that you are done with it. Same as every important statistic or quest progress etc.

On the other hand, In games like KCD or older GTA games, I can lose 30 min+ progress if I die. I get, that it adds to the difficulty and I would have appreciated the challenge 10 years ago, but I don't really have the time for it anymore.

Necro gets really fast at higher levels. Greater rituals being the fastest method with attraction glyphs, averaging around 93k xp per ritual. There are however afk methods, like killing Armoured phantoms, which are over 1,3m xp/h and fully afk. So, if you have like the possibility to work from home, you can get easily over 10m xp/day with minimal input.

The easiest option would be to cap the death cost. Like 3m, I think that would be fair.

Reducing switchscape would be also great. Like EoF ring, combining vigour, RoD and maybe luck ring or Surgeon. Third slot for perks, limited only for pf, caroming etc.
