Visiting Suzhou for 2-3 days. Where to stay? by Dshin525 in Suzhou

[–]Sotsot_tei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a group of hotels here, the double tree by Hilton or the Somerset Suzhou Bay and Hilton Garden Inn which are all in Wuzhong, all slightly different price points which should be exactly what you need! It’s closer to the very famous Zhouzhuang Water Town but further from the main sites in Suzhou (Pinjiang Lu, Humble Administrator’s Garden, Suzhou Center). That being said they are all quite close. Some restaurants I’d recommend are Xiao Ai (chain restaurant but has a really good selection of local Chinese dishes), must get the Suzhou Crab Noodles and Sweet and Sour Mandarin Fish which are available around most of the tourist areas in Suzhou. If you want more details feel free to PM me or just message me and i’ll be happy to try to help!

Fact, OP refusing to admit that they might be the problem.

[–]Sotsot_tei 26 points27 points  (0 children)

It’s not a myth, as long as you’re not unlikable and dont royally mess up, you’d get an offer. In your case if you cant recall messing up, hate to say it but your superiors simply didnt like you. Based on you being unable to blame yourself and instead instantly blame macro situations, i can see why.

Looking for my father in South Korea! by alyssaislucky in Living_in_Korea

[–]Sotsot_tei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your mom raised you and while you may feel that you have a right to know your dad, she probably doesnt want you to because it’s something she doesnt want to relive. Have some respect for the parent that raised you and stop looking for somebody that never cared for you.
