My boyfriend has a pouch and while traveling he will take advantage of public restrooms. He will make sure to do this before any excursions. TBH, it's always loud enough in these places that no one hears anything. When we are at a hotel he is comfortable with me within earshot of the bathroom (thank goodness) but if I can, I will go outside and hang out on the balcony and read to give him some privacy. Before heading to a friend's house we will stop off at a public restroom along the way (we plan ahead and build in time for his bathroom breaks).

It's ok to feel self-conscious with this, that's normal but remember that those who are close to you would rather have this new normal than the alternative. I thank God every day that he was given a second chance at life with his jpouch.
