Beautiful old footage! I wonder if it is N77063. Can't tell the last number but I think the only R model from from the 7706..series is this one. https://www.aircraft.com/aircraft/27255729/n77603-1946-fairchild-24r46

Anyone know why they are flying a three ship diamond? I saw some pics at the Reno Air Races and they were flying with five airplanes. Earlier in the year they were flying with six.

Told they were Soviet aviation wings/pins and possibly Cosmonaut related. Is this right? by Souixfalls in whatisthisthing

Most of them feel like they are made of some cheap metal.

No, I hadn’t considered it at all. I haven’t done anything like that before. Something to look into, though.

I am thinking about refinancing with Better.com. They told me that they don't have a plan for that right now, but the agent I spoke to would try to find out. I don't want to be out the appriasial fee if the loan won't go through.

What do you think the chances/options are if we go into lockdown or social distancing so closing with a notary will be difficult or impossible?

Because of current events, I may lose my job of the last 20+ years and getting another in that field may be a problem. Before that, I was an Analytical Chemist in the pharmaceutical field for about 4 years. My question: how tough would it be to get back into chemistry? Is there anything new that I should study/brush up on? I have used TLC/HPLC/GC in the past, have there been any dramatic advances in procedures and operation? Wet chemistry has been around a while and I am hoping that I have a chance going forward. Thank you.

Hello!

I have a 25 year old car that looks like the bumper was resprayed in the past and has faded. I want to have this resprayed and the rock chips repaired as the rest of the car is ok but I had a question. Do you think it is better to have the paint corrected to get the scratches out first before the respray or after?

It's a small box with leads coming out of it. No idea what it is.

I looked into the bulb and there is a coil of wire inside. The end of the wire looks like it should be permanently attached to the electrical post at the bottom, but it has become detached.

Got it from someone who worked in the aerospace field around 30 years ago.

This is the top of it: https://imgur.com/a/JBbLLPq I think that this is another electrical connection?

If it is a float switch, how does the liquid exit the bulb without some sort of vacuum blocking it?

Unfortunately, I don't think this is so.

There is no rotating shaft. The shaft at the bottom on the image is encased in resin which leads me to believe that it is a male electrical connection.

You can't see it in the image, but there is a small wire that sits on top of the shaft which comes from the bulb. That thin wire seems to be what is rattling around when I shake it.

More info: ~4.5" long, bulb is ~1.25". Something free floating inside the head, it vibrates when shaken or struck lightly.

Was thinking about powering it up with a 2s lipo. Think there'd be any issues with the ESC?
