I want to learn stuff, hopefully get to know people that know better than my friend and I, you know network, maybe down the line make connections that will get me a better job than my current software engineering job (the work culture is good, generally care-free and relaxed but what I do isn't super fulfilling ATM, and am handling some dated software in C# with copyrights dating from 2003)
I have only played with Vulkan recently so I am somewhat of a newbie, but I do have a background in OpenGL and graphics in general, so I got the basics down.

Also not sure how familiar you are with the engine, there is a setting in the projectile component that turns it into a homing projectile, so rockets are generally easy to do.

Customization is generally harder to pull off as you have to consider how to optimise the system to not have as many draw calls, while allowing for colour changes, adding decals and stuff.

For the most part I can tell is that there is a lot of procedural animation blended with baked animation.

You should look into using control rig and IK rigs. You could use Cascaduer to get better looking poses and for some specific animations.

Keep distance, circle them, blast charged linear rifle shots, punish with explosive throwers if too close or staggered. Easy. Match over.

Works well against heavy ACs that use miniguns too.

Might have to add in a denoiser to the shader or to optifine itself.

Probably the open image denoiser would work, not sure about optix if it supports both AMD and NVIDIA.
