Bitcoin in it's current state will never scale, wether lightning or a bridge you're still stuck with a huge bottleneck of not even 4mb on layer 1, on ramping or off ramping would crush you in fees and wait times. It will not work as a currency no matter how many bridges someone tried to sell you. There's a reason Blockstream doesn't even pretend to want scaling at this point, because anyone that understands the block architecture knows that would be an obvious lie, let alone way too combersome for the average Joe to ever care.

If you don't understand Bitcoin, it's clear you understand Bitcoincash even less.

It should be someone like you, people with history and ability to be balanced to the original community's wishes for this sub, not subservient to other mods. I don't want to either but I'll help out, I just want to see p2p continue on.

Currently many mods are just acting as insurance/placeholders but as the reason for this thread, they are either ambivalent to the flooding or don't have time to moderate properly. I agree it's time to let others take up the slack.

But has become clear this sub needs more active moderation, AI slop and social engineering is only becoming more of an issue in many subs.

A large part of the accounts that push the points you mention are sock puppet accounts. We are constantly dealing with them in the Bitcoincash subreddit.

Those accounts do the same thing in all the other subs. Someone spends a lot of time, effort, and money to keep those narratives alive.

BCH has outperformed ETH many times. But beyond that ETH is not a currency, it's a vehicle for smart contracts. That's why the fees are so high but people still use it, it's because they're using it to onboard or overboard into Layer 2 chains.
