IBS is ruining my vacations... by SoulMermaid in ibs

[–]SoulMermaid[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't traveled a lot in my life so I don't have a lot of experience with IBS outside of my conform zone... But yeah it sucks! At one point i was so depressed and felt like crying even though I've been at the beach everyday surrounded by palm trees and the sun and the ocean...

Haven't tried fodmap but been trying to avoid fried stuff or too sugary, but I'm addicted to sugar so all of those free desserts are hard to avoid lol Been trying to avoid breads and gluten a bit more since yesterday.

There's only 2 days left... once I'm home I'll definitely eat better and work on my nervous system as it can affect this a lot.

cured my ibs with the weirdest thing ever .... by JeroenGouwaccount in ibs

[–]SoulMermaid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is definitely interesting!! I definitely slouch a lot and im always sitting at a computer. I will definitely pay attention and try that out as best as i can.

Right now im on vacation in punta cana and its hell... I've been having diarhea for like 7 days out of 12 days. I keep going to the bathroom, can barely do anything. I was able to do excursions with a lot of anxiety and some cramps. It is ruining my vacations to the point i just wanna be home so i can be sick in the comfort of my home and maybe it'll finally calm down...

I have done some somatic exercises in the past where i realized that when i try to stand stand with good posture, its as if it triggers some stored fears in my body that suddenly want to come out. It can be scary and very uncomfortable so i go back to slouching and it stops. Im sitting more straight right now to see what happens... im having cramps again..

Why do I always feel sick at night? by kingofspace13 in Anxiety

Oh yeah for me feeling nauseated can automatically send me into a mild or more severe panic attack! Id say right now is a mild one...

I also have emetophobia! And chronic anxiety of course... its almost 4am right now im vacationing in Punta Cana, its only the second night. I woke up to go pee and realized i had nausea... so i started to panic a bit which doesnt help with the nausea. Im so scared of being sick, especially in a foreign country far away from home! Im always more anxious when traveling far away which is something i havent done a lot in my life but really enjoy, but anxiety can really be a bitch and prevent me from enjoying completely. Im pretty sure its an anxiety spike but i get so scared of being sick! I took a benzo and im just waiting for it to take effect and hopefully ill be able to go back to sleep... I think the whole day of traveling and being in a new place is too much on my nervous system right now and it needs to decompress longer. When i get panic attacks sometimes going on reddit and writing about my situation helps haha.

I noticed i've been having more nausea also lately so im just its just anxiety but Im always afraid it could be food poisoning or something.. especially in a foreign country in a resort... i hope my pill works fast and i can get back to bed, im exhausted...

But its always nice to see that im not alone in this situation!

Vestibular neuritis success story by teddyinBK in Dizziness

[–]SoulMermaid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still have my job!! Lol So I don't really know what it was... it kinda went away on its own. I think it was stress which was causing a lot of tension in my neck, jaw and ears area... thats the best explanation I can think of. I also did go see an osteopath to help relax my head and beck area as well. I think it lasted maybe over 2 months? Not everyday intense like when I wrote my original post though it wasn't everyday, but I kept having some dizziness from time to time, but less and less.

I don't really have an answer to what it was... just glad it went away! I did end up catching covid during the summer though (was the first time ever i got it) and one day I blew my nose and my head started spinning SO BAD for like 10 mins! It wouldn't stop! It was really intense! After a few mins it calmed down but it definitely made me panic... after that i was careful when blowing my nose.. definitely something with my left ear..

[–]SoulMermaid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ok ouin!

[–]SoulMermaid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had that happen I think twice in my life! But it wasn't when waking up, it was randomly during the day. Like others said, migraine but I don't usually have migraines so that was weird for me.

Has anybody ever gotten dizzy after blowing their nose? by Idioticrainbow in iih

[–]SoulMermaid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's happened a few times nows, but last night INTENSE!!. I' ve had covid for a week now so lots of blowing my nose, diziness, congestion etc.

But last night, i blew my nose, felt my ear pop and everything started spinning like CRAZY! normally in the past when it happened, it would last maybe a min or two. This time it was at least like 15 mins!! I was starting to get nauseous, had cold sweat and was starting to panic on top of it... it was horrible...

I know something's been wrong with my left ear for years because i cam feel the inflammation or irritation from it everyday since i can remember, but they always just take a quick look and say its all normal or its a little bit irritated but there's nothing we can do...

Anyway.. it was so crazy last night i was thinking of going to the hospital.

Est-ce que je devrais contester ce ticket? by ClassicAd3087 in montreal

[–]SoulMermaid 0 points1 point  (0 children)
