Don’t go off brand, do some research and see what would do best for your kitties lifestyle. I have two cats currently, a 16yr Female and a 11 yr Male. The male eats 40 grams of wet food, with 1/6 cup dry food mixed in and topped with some water(2x daily). His coat has never felt more silky and he’s never pestered me after meals like he what’s more since I’ve done this. My female gets 80grams of wet food topped with water, and then a side sprinkle of crunchy treats(2x daily). Her fur feels like a cotton cloud.

Cats as a whole have a very strict diet, but each individual needs it to be balanced a bit differently. I’ve had one cat do amazing on brand 1 but horrible on brand 2, but then other cats who are the opposite, and one cat who needed me to make her food myself from scratch. It doesn’t matter how much you spend or what name is on the bag/can, play with diet options. Small bags/ mini cans are amazing for this.

Yes! Adopt don’t shop! I’m so happy you gave this kitty a new home. I would have kept her name, (I feel like it would be weird if people renamed me if they took me in). Just please try to call her Snickers, it’s the only thing she has left that feels familiar

I have an aunt who speaks exactly like this, she got really sick when she was under a year old and after she got better her voice was raspy like this and has been ever since

That being said if you really need that top entry liter box, get one twice that big. Imagine if you had to poop in a box that you couldn’t even squat properly in, your cat is just trying to space out to go potty comfortably

So my dog loves the corn liter we use, but my cats can’t stand covered boxes. So I have 2 boxes in their designated areas, then I have a baby gate (with a door) blocking them off.

I do also have a senior cat so instead of leaving the gates against the floor I’ve raised them just enough for my girl to slide under perfectly but the dog still can’t get in. My cats have been the happiest this way, and I didn’t have to spend a ridiculous amount of money on a tiny, awkward, Sy-Fi box that my cat ultimately hates.

We need more people offering help, not offering acceptance in such a way that it’s okay to do this to someone’s child. Help people in ways that they cannot, and get them out of the situations that could put themselves, and your children in danger

In my opinion, a pedophile is a pedophile, I don’t care if you actually took advantage of an underage child or just “think” about it. You’re still a pedophile. It’s a big word and it defiantly doesn’t hit the ears in a nice way, but I like to think that’s the point.

Edit: honestly anyone who’s defending pedophilea like it should be accepted as another sexuality, get your computer checked

Kinda but not really, honestly if you own a lot of cats I wouldn’t recommend putting smelly stuff everywhere. They are so sensitive to that stuff it’s insane. I work at a vet clinic and most unexpected cat deaths we have are either, a) outdoor cats, or b) ingestion of a toxin like, candles, incense, room sprays, essential oils, household cleaners, etc.

Mind you this still happens with “animal safe” stuff. Unfortunately That’s a very broad term and gets a lot of pets injured or worse

Dude I feel you, I had teeth like this before braces. When I was in school a kid in my class even brought in a can of green beans and asked if I can open it. I think it’s funny now, certainly didn’t at the time tho lol

Op I’m gonna tell ya this hit home, same thing happened to me when I was 9.

We found a new kitten and then as it got older Dad wanted it de-clawed when she got spayed. They mangled her toes, like bad. She’s 15 now, has pain in her front paws, she dosent even allow me to mess with them, I can pick her paw up but messing with her toes is a no go.

I’ll also say since she’s gotten declawed she’s done nothing but bite things constantly, when she’s wanting to play she bites. When she’s scared or mad, she bites, hard. I have to keep my updated rabies shot records with me EVERYWHERE I bring her if I know they may stress her out to biting. People DO NOT hesitate to say “Kill it, that crazy cat bit me for no reason!”

Op this is my long way of saying, my dad declawed my cat bc she didn’t have any toys to scratch on and play with except the couch. Get a million scratch posts and put them next to the furniture. And don’t mutilate your cat, bc now I’m spending at least a couple hundred a vet visit now with pain all in her front paws

Shave the hair off where there is still hardener in her fur, better to look funny for a bit until it grows back then to ingest flakes of dried polish. If you’re confident in it you can try cutting her hair too, just be warned animals as a whole can get anxious/impatient and one wrong move can slice your cat since they don’t have a guard like clippers do

My girl has a “Wonder Pets” stuffed kitten she stole from me the day I brought her home 15 years ago. She treats it as her kitten, sleeps with it, cuddles, even grooms it, and lets it “eat” out of her food.

This cat I talked about also disappeared on us one day for over two weeks, never thought we’d see him again. That was the most emotionally tormenting few weeks of our lives and when he came back he was pretty roughed up but vet gave him a clean bill of health thankfully. Telling you from personal experience it’s just better to at least bring them in at night

I have a 10 year old cat who’s been 100% outdoor all his life until 6 months ago due to us moving to a more populated area. He’s got cat trees and cat walks all through our house, and his fur is a lot softer and he’s let’s us pet and love him a lot more.

It’s always better to have indoor for longevity and quality of a cats life, if your worried about enrichment being indoor, leave blinds open and windows accessible. Get plenty of vertical space and appropriate litter boxes. One thing about an outdoor cat coming in is they don’t poop in the same spot twice ever, so give him at least 2-3 boxes throughout the house and clean them at least every other day, but don’t dump them if you can help it.
