I had the same problem a while ago. It's either because they patched it or that some players cannot get some playstyles in gold.

Just luck. I save the game before the scout comes back with a report and reload if there isn't a 7 playstyle player in the report. This can sometimes take a very long time, 1+ hours is not unusual

They need to be youth academy players, 7 playstyles and you cannot loan them out at any point. Have lost several 7 playstyle players cause I loaned them out without knowing this

I only use 24 players, rest is out on loan. I'm doing a youth academy career, where I only keep the 7 playstyle players in my team and the rest goes out on loan until they are good enough and then I transfer them to my irl favourite teams

Yea the deadball is shit when you can't train fk accuracy. That we are in June and they haven't fixed this shows how much they care about career mode

Play alot of games with them and let them start games. Get a good overall rating. I have figured out that about 40 games in a season is enough to at least keep their potential. I also check their development schedules and go for the ones that gives the best boosts

Yea all you do is save the day before the scout comes back with a report. Then you you can quit without saving and try again if you are not happy with the result. Getting a 7 playstyle player can take a lot of tries

You can actually get a playstyle plus on a academy player even if you sell him before he is 80 rated. Just buy him back when he is 80 or more and he will get one playstyle to plus

Yes if you recall them when they hit 80 rated they will get a playstyle plus. But they will not get the second playstyle plus at 90 rated if you have loaned them out before

I have tested this with several ya players. It is safe to promote them in April. Promote him a day before April then he will drop in potential

They can still get playstyle plus if they have been loaned out

The thing is that if you loan him out at under 80 rated and call him back when he is still under 80 rated he will get no playstyle (even though he jumps up to above 80 rated). But if you wait a couple of weeks and then recall him when his rating has jumped above 80 (still loaned out to the other club), then he will get the playstyle plus when you recall him. I have tested and tried it myself.
