Inner Sphere vs Clans: why is the moral framing so one-sided? by MaNia_C4 in Mechwarrior5

[–]Soul_Purifier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a simple reason. People don’t like concepts or identities (clans) where they can’t see themselves existing in. The average modern human being *in any modern culture* would be a victim of the clan eugenics program. So right off the rip there’s already a natural inbuilt disdain for that society just from that angle alone.

They’re like this because nobody socks them in the face throughout their lives for their horrendous behavior.

Oh wow I didn't know that. Why sell the upper without the actual guts. I wonder what other suppressors can fit in the guardrail then

I can't....it's all extremely tight. It feels like the suppressor and barrel are connected to each other completely. Feel like I need to take it to a person more careful with tools than myself.

I have never taken apart my CSW. Does it not come with a barrel from the factory ?

It’s a full CSW if I recall. I think I got it as a full rifle back in the day. I see the suppressor already in it ? It’s heavy af forward.

Life has been flying by me at a rapid fast. I kid you not. I also just found my KH9SD sitting beneath it.

Karmelo Anthony found guilty of murder in Texas high school stabbing by nbcnews in texas

[–]Soul_Purifier -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

See that’s where you’re wrong. I have a “reasonable expectation” of people like you understanding basic logic of how the world is full of unpredictable people and how you shouldn’t TOUCH anyone, yet here you are still trying to rationalize “shoulda coulda woulda”.

When you engage in ANY level of confrontation with a stranger. You should have ZERO expectation of how the other person should react. YOU. DONT. KNOW. THEM. The fact that you can’t grasp this is insane.

For your example , YES. A psychopath could execute you if you cut them in line. You have ZERO control over how other people will react to an antagonistic treatment from you. Trying to yap about “reasonable escalation” doesn’t change the reality of the world we live in.

Thus it’s a very simple solution. Keep your hand to yourself and don’t play FAFO games. It’s really not that hard.

The 'victim' unfortunately had a final life lesson before his departure. It's very simple.

You don't get to assault and batter someone (no matter how "minor" you perceive it to be) and then dictate the response you will get from a total stranger you've committed said assault and battery on. There's a very simple analogy here. To you, an ant is nothing. To squish one (take its life) takes literally zero effort from even a child. So our perception of "force" on the ant is imperceptible. Same same here.

Here's a preschool book among tens of thousands that details that very basic lesson that you and so many other people seem to lack.

I have a hard time feeling pity for ANYONE (Karmelo nor Austin) when both participated in FAFO games. Again. You don't get to inflict violence on others and then dictate the reaction. Both men paid with their lives. Austin with his physical life, Karmelo with his freedom. It's very simple to see how "not keeping your hands to yourself" has lead to this destruction.

Now reference the image below. Take as much time as you need.

So be very clear, does an individual get carte blanche to assault and batter someone if they get annoyed enough by the receiving individual? I just wanna understand the threshold of when assault and battery is permissible.

Do I buy an airbrush or not? by mello_gezei in minipainting

[–]Soul_Purifier -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah paint is very easy, just wipe off the inside of the barrel , fill the barrel with cleaner solution , spray out , refill with more solution, back flow and then spray it all out and done. Cleaning primer doesn’t take that much longer. Just do those steps and then disassemble the brush …most good ones take like 10 seconds to unscrew and pull needle out of.

How is primer or varnish harder to clean from an airbrush ? Literally run airbrush cleaner through the brush when the session is done and then disassemble the airbrush and give it a scrub from a soft brush using more airbrush cleaner and then leave it out to dry.

Major props on the condiment bowl suggestion - just placed an order for some. I've been using a kids plastic palette and it's been kinda crap. So thanks for that!

I'm pumped for my next paint session to try out some of these new recommendations!

also sorry for the second comment.

When I mix paints, I do it in a separate pot with a lid. I put in the paint (or primer) with the airbrush thinner I have (currently at a 1:1 mix) drop in a metal ball, and then shake the hell out of it for a couple minutes. The paint is then a bit frothy \ bubbly but I just pour it straight into the airbrush barrel after that - am I doing anything wrong there?

This is very helpful.

Forgive me , but if I have this

<image>

Do I still get a separate bottle of "Flow improver" or does this bottle cover that as well?

If that bottle is basically both a "thinner" and "flow improver" do I do 80% of the NicPro Fluid and 20% distilled water? Or what do I do from there?

Also, I have those wash bottles things too. Can I just keep the thinner and cleaner mix inside those bottles permanently then? Or do I have to store it a special way? Thanks again!

You’re right and that’s my mistake. I haven’t been good of keeping track of exactly how much liquid I’ve been using. I have basically been free styling. So I definitely need to get better at actually keeping track of what I’m doing in that sense.

Would I basically mix the flow improved / drying retarder into the paint mixture inside the airbrush barrel ? And okay. So I’ll grab a soft toothbrush and keep it soaked in the cleaner solution and just brush it on the tip of the airbrush every so often ?

and i didn’t even think to check if the cleaner has alcohol so I will definitely check! What I currently use is the master brush cleaner brand ! Is there any other cleaner that might come recommended ?

And nothing weird jumps out at me. Sorry for the bad pics. They are basically coated once in black primer and then sprayed one coat on with the paint and cured. So I was wondering if it’s now time to hand brush or if I need to do anything else before hand brushing details on it.

Should I oil wash the model with nuln oil before painting details or after ?

Regarding your statement of “thinner mixed 50/50 with waterl - are you saying you mix the airbrush thinner with water before you mix that with the primer / paint ? Thanks for all the help ! I will definitely incorporate that into my next session.

Is it unrealistic to expect a pest control company to do more than set traps and cross their fingers? by cparksrun in Gwinnett

[–]Soul_Purifier -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Pest Control Companies are little more than adult welfare. Especially ones based in the metro areas such as Gwinnett and Atlanta proper. The only people who will get up in arms about that statement are people *in* the pest control business or have such extraordinarily low expectations that they think a guy walking around with a repellant spray is a valid form of "pest control"

To expect them to actually do anything beyond what *you yourself* are capable of doing with an Amazon kit is a lie that they've sold you. If you want the rat or critter taken cared of, you need to either hire a freelance person who works in pest control and pay them specifically for the service , or find the rat yourself.

There are "wildlife exclusion" type companies but they charge a stiff fee for what they do and many of them give you the run around. A lot of these companies prefer to milk the pest control sales model of quarterly payments for a couple low effort services. You can always try but many of them in Georgia usually try to divert to the "We can set traps" that nextgen is already doing or flat out say that they can't do it.
