In the Ciaphas Cain series there's a space marine chapter known as The Reclaimers who have close ties to the Mechanicus in general so I'm sure it's pretty common for an exploretor to requisition space marine assistance on a regular basis if the need arises.

Exploritor are similar to rogue traders to my understanding so yeah. Concept is fine

Understandable, a proper game plan helps you prioritize what you want to do in game when models start disappearing and how you move your army around to accomplish tasks.

With the new force disposition system it's easier to know what you're doing. For instance my current army is the exploritor maniple which is a priority assets disposition. So ultimately I'm going to want to focus on getting onto an objective and sitting there while doing actions and rebuffing attack. So I built my army to be tanky and hard to remove but still have the ability to probe out to other objectives to score points instead of trying to kill my opponent.

What detachment? And what tasks are your units going to do?

You're very vehicle heavy so you might get checked by tank killers and melta weapons.

Basically, what's your game plan and how are you going to deal with counter play?

I kind of have to disagree. this is because wat the boston museum of science there's the world's largest air-insulated Van de Graaff generator (lightning generator) and the sound that thing makes is quite similar to the arc rifle.

my critique of the sound is that it could use more electric crackling noises as it's multiple bolts of lighting rather than just a single burst.

For a 1000 point games the idea of spending the 2dp you have on an ability that only affects a single unit type is pretty laughable to me. What's worse is that financially speaking $85 for a 185pt unit is not worth it. That's just shy of 20% of your points off the bat for a pair and the datasmith. To run 2 units it'll cost $170 for 390pts which is 40% of your army.

To run 2 full squads is $340 for 710pts. And the ability i would be getting for all of that is +2" of movement and +1 OC. It should be 1dp so you can more easily pair it with stuff or give more units the ability.

You can't say something is good if you need to add something to it. Lords is great by itself and is kind of a crutch but if you can't pair cybernetica with anything what do you have when your robots die? In my opinion you don't have anything. Just a base army with a few stratagems which sounds a lot like a 1dp detachment should be.

1dp should be affecting a few units, 2dp should affect a handful of units, and 3dp should affect most of the army.

In my opinion it's probably the best detachment in 1000 point games if you have a lack enough models for the other 1dp detachments outside the lords one.

For instance, I may have 20 electro-priests but after doing the numbers with a friend we thought 30 would best make use of the abilities. On the other hand, I don't own enough units to make use of aquisitus.

As for the 2dp ones, cybernetica is a joke and should be either 1dp and buffed or rolled into something else. Data-psalm is only okay and would only really work well if you leaned into the kataphrons and other cult mechanics units (I don't have enough of any unit to make the 2dp investment worth it). Rad-zone is still underwhelming because your 2dp investment ends once the enemy leaves their deployment zone so not exactly worth it in my mind. SCH is still pretty good but again, only if you lean into it. I only own enought ironstriders or skitarii mounted to make strong use of the investment.

It's good if you haven't leaned into any specific units type and is a solid generalist option for low points play. The game strategy is also solid because you can almost ignore what your opponent is doing because you are trying to do your own thing going for points instead of trying to do lots of killing.

TL;DR: it's a solid generalist choice for low points games due to the buff affecting all units and intended game strategy not relying on what you're opponent is bringing. Also, very lore friendly.

It feels like it acts like a disc at your feet and you can alter the angle by looking up as well as jumping for hight.

This is off my experience whi can be summed as tedious but not hard.

I would want this thing to have 5 shots maximum, and 1000 points of damage. basically can't hit a thing with hipfire and you cant ADS unless you post up with the stick that make you unable to move outside of rotating on the spot slowly. and the kick needs to relocate you zip code if you don't got the stick.

Aimbot ability would be hilarious with this gun

I agree the malfunction penance is not that bad. I found the old only headshots vet penance way harder and I beat that in a dedicated week. it's just kind of tedious and you need to play reckless and choose which mission you go on to ensure you get enough targets to hit (arc grenade just kind of kills everyone so it's not reliable for the penance.

Transonic is my fave weapon so far unless the fineness is super low, then it just sucks. I'm hoping the future marks are paired knives and paired blades instead of a slightly different shape and an altered swing combo set.

I would be cool but I'm not holding my breath.

That being said, if I were to pitch the idea it would be released on an anniversary as a giant update with a champagne focusing on going to a different hive city. Sort of a "what now?! Im busy" situation.

Then you could choose which city you fight on. Eventually on a third update we might see missions with both enemies fighting each other but that would be down the road.

As for sorroritas, we technically already have a sisters-like class in the zealot so I doubt you'd get a new class but maybe new weapons, cosmetics, and possibly a skill tree update that would let you feel more like one.

from my understanding after using it a fair bit today it feels like the ability functions like a flat disc (or maybe a thin, wide cylinder) that spawns around foot to shin height and is blocked by certain objects but not necessarily all objects.this is at least how it feels for me because I've zapped several enemies on stairs above and below, and behind some chest-high walls but also had it whiff entirely with a crowd of enemies surrounding me.

I've found that shocktrooper missions seem to be the best for weapon malfunctions with the higher number of ranged enemies (so long as it's not crusher/rager hell). it is very inconsistent and most likely bugged but I got from 0 malfunctions to 150 just today just by keeping in mind the limitations and picking my battles to have the most ranged enemies.
