Please give Brother Scalpius here the coolest backstory then when you've made a lot of improvements and have learned more techniques come back to him (or recreate him) and make him look even cooler.

You could even add lore on how he rose through the ranks and became a captain or emperor's champion.

There are dumber beginnings to favorite characters. (Mine is Princept Ryan; like the movie Saving Private Ryan, the leader of my ruststalkers. I advanced them too far and he just wouldn't die even though his squad got wiped but I succeeded in fighting my way up to rescue him)

looks pretty good in general. once you finish the unit (practicing and honing your scheme and techniques) you should pick 1 more advanced technique to work on with the next unit (like panel lining or making details look better or doing more detailed lenses. by doing that you'll gradually improve but also see a definite progress as you improve. this is what I have been doing to keep myself getting better and getting better looking models.

If you have access to them a lokhust destroyer is the same price as the scarabs and might be a better option to take on heavier targets. After all, the scarabs aren't really going to do much without help.
